| In order to understand the differences in salt resistance between varieties,a comparison experiment was conducted under controlling condition with 6 NaCl levels,different varieties that are being widely grown in Xinjiang.Compared by measuring the germination potential, germination rate,absorption rate of seeds,and growth of the seedling growing in solution-cultured and pot condition.The difference of germination rate,boll weight,single boll,lint percentage and lint with varieties was studied.Salt-tolerance was evaluated comprehensively by membership function method.The results showed that the water absorption rate of seed,the germination potential and germination rate between varieties were decreased,the salt stress rates increased,seedling growth are weaken with increasing of the concentration of NaCl solution.1.According to the salt-tolerance comprehensive evaluation value of the south Xinjiang Gossypium hirsutum Linn,different stages showed an ordered as:Germination stage:zhongmian 43＞junmian 1＞xinluzhong 20＞zhongmian 49 zhongmian35＞xinluzhong 21＞yumian 17;pot stage:yumian 17＞zhongmian 43＞zhongmian 49＞xinluzhong 21＞zhongmian35＞junmian 1＞xinluzhong 20;solution-cultured stage:zhongmian 49＞junmian 1＞zhongmian35＞xinluzhong 21＞xinluzhong 20＞yumian 17＞zhongmian 43;field stadge:zhongmian 43＞junmian 1＞zhongmian35＞xinluzhong 21＞zhongnman 49＞xinluzhong 20＞yumian 17;According to the comprehensive evaluation value of the varieties during germination stage,pot stage,solution-cultured stage and field stage were showed an ordered as: zhongmian 43＞junmian 1＞zhongmian 49＞zhongmian35＞xinluzhong 20＞yumian 17＞xinluzhong 21.2.It is suggested that the salt-tolerance of cotton varieties are inconsistent during different stage,cotton seeds trate with low salt concentration not only increasing germination rate,but also can enhance seedling growth.3.Salt stress have more damage to above-ground than below-ground in pot stage.4.The salt-tolerance of seed germination stage may instead of the field stadge.
