The situation of soil salinization in Xinjiang is serious, which leads to the gradual degradation of arable land and the desertification of large areas of land, and has a serious adverse impact on the ecological environment and agricultural production. The development and production of cotton is constrained to a great extent, the systematic evaluation of salt resistance of cotton varieties, breeding varieties of art,can carry on the effective use of large areas of saline-alkali land, for the study of upland cotton, salt resistance,to strengthen the breeding of salt resistance of cotton varieties, and promote the development of saline-alkali land cotton industry, this research in the field under the condition of salt stress, the sprouting of 319 upland cotton material seedling stage, bud stage, the blooming stage and boll opening harvest the character in the whole stages of investigation, constructed from the agronomic traits and physiological indexes, yield and fiber quality more comprehensive evaluation system of the period.(1)The 319 upland cotton materials were investigated for their related indexes at seedling stage.According to the D value clustering results,4 samples of strong saline-alkali resistant materials(H114,H128,H018,H091)and 3 samples of sensitive materials(H237,H189,H266)were screened out.Multiple stepping-regression equations were established to get D=-0.838+0.449* hypocotyl length+0.461*SPAD+0.279* plant height +0.168* seedling emergence rate-0.113* leaf number.Five indexes were screened out which could significantly represent the performance of cotton seedling salt-alkali tolerance.(2)The indicators related to the bud stage of 319 upland cotton materials were investigated.According to the clustering results of D value,4 samples of H51,H40,H91,H53 and 1 sample of H138 were screened out as highly saline-resistant materials in the bud stage.According to the results of principal component analysis, six indexes were selected which could significantly reflect the performance of cotton salt and alkali tolerance at bud stage, including plant height, number of fruit branches, number of buds,SPAD value,MDA content and SOD activity.(3)The indicators related to the flowering and boll stage of 319 upland cotton materials were investigated.According to the clustering results of D value,4 samples H122,H103,H053,H018 and 1sample H012 of sensitive materials were screened out in the flowering and boll stage.Multiple stepping-regression equations were established to obtain D=-0.09+0.211* fruit branch number +0.147* boll number +0.04*SOD+0.158* plant height +0.036*MDA+0.046* bud number.Six indexes were screened out which could significantly represent the performance of cotton salt and alkali tolerance at flowering and boll stage.(4)319 upland cotton materials were investigated for their related indexes in the opening period.According to the clustering results of D value,7 materials with strong saline-alkali resistance were screened out, which were H044,H091,H040,H001,H039,H045 and H092 respectively.3 copies of sensitive materials, respectively H226,H264 and H277.Multiple stepwise regression equations were established to obtain D=-2.679+0.722* spinning evenness index +0.133* initial knot height +0.028*effective number of fruit branches +0.117* initial knot number +0.108* plant height +0.031* micronaire value +0.429* average pile length of upper half +0.029* lint percentage +0.058* elongation +0.027* single boll weight +0.033* boll number +0.442* fiber evenness.12 key character indexes were screened out.
