The Biological Activity And Enzyme Activity Of Perilla Frutescens Essential Oil Against Sitophilus Zeamais

In this thesis we used Perilla frutescens to determine the biological activity of Sitophilus zeamais adult, and determined the effect on some kinds of enzymes of Sitophilus zeamais adult in the body,then compared the biological activity with Artemisia annua L. and Artemisia scoparia Waldst.et Kitag.essential oil. The results were as follows:1.The testing essential oils'biological activity determination on Sitophilus zeamais adult: In the determination of contact activity, at 0.5μl per insect dose after 24 hours, the corrected mortality of Perilla frutescens essential oil,Artemisia annua essential oil , Artemisia scoparia essential oil were98.88%,96.66%,97.77%. The three kinds of essential oils all showed high contact activity;In the determination of fumigation activity, Artemisia annua essential oil,Artemisia scoparia essential oil showed higher activity:83.33μl/l dose after 48 hours, the corrected mortality rate reached 65%, for Perilla frutescens essential oil,there was a little activity for the Sitophilus zeamais adult,83.33μl/l dose after 72 hours, the corrected mortality of Perilla frutescens essential oil,Artemisia annua essential oil,Artemisia scoparia essential oil were 4.44%,95.55%, 8.00%; In the determination of repellent activity,Artemisia annua essential oil,Artemisia scoparia essential oil all had good repellent effect on Sitophilus zeamais adult: 8μl dose after 24 hours, the repellent activity both reached the levelⅣ,after 48hours,both the repellent activity had declined,but also remained at the levelⅢ. Perilla frutescens essential oil had a weak repellent activity for the Sitophilus zeamais adult.8μl dose after 24 hours, the repellent activity wasⅢ,8μl dose after 48 hours, Perilla frutescens essential oil's repellent activity wasⅡ.2.Perilla frutescens essential oil's effects on the test insects'some kinds of enzyme in the body:Perilla frutescens essential oil had significantly inhibited the AchE activity;for the ACP and ALP activity, it performed activation and then inhibition;it made a performance of obvious inhibition for the CarE activity; It had the effect of making the GSTS activity induced and then inhibited;and it had no obvious effects on the POD activity for the test insect.The results above showed that Perilla frutescens essential oil had a higher contact activity on the Sitophilus zeamais adult and had lower fumigation,repellent activity.Also, Perilla frutescens essential oil had different effects on the test insects'AchE, ACP, ALP, CarE , GSTS, POD in the body.
