Acanthopanax sessiliflorus widely distributed in the Changbai Mountain region,rich in resources. Synthesizing related literatures, we found it was fewer about Acanthopanax sessiliflorus in aspect of antioxidation research, which limited development and utilization of the resources. In this paper, components of antioxidant activity of the pulps and leaves of A.sessiliflorus were studied, HPLC fingerprint of leaves of A.sessiliflorus was established in Ji Lin Province,scientific basis of the establishment of the evaluation system of the quality of extracts of the leaves of A.sessiliflorus was provided.The main conclusions were as follows:1,Screening antioxidant active fractions from different polar extraction fractions of extracts of pulps and leaves of A.sessiliflorus in DPPH method.It was obtained that different polar extraction fractions of pulps and leaves of A.sessiliflorus had scavenging capacity to DPPH radical, of which ethyl acetate and n-butanol fraction were obvious. IC50 of ethyl acetate and n-butanol fractions of A.sessiliflorus were respectively 1.3695mg/mL(leaves,EtOAc),3.6256 mg/mL(leaves, n-butanol),5.9620 mg/mL(pulps,EtOAc),14.8921 mg/mL(pulps,n-butanol). It was found that antioxidant activity of leaves of A.sessiliflorus was more than pulps'.2,Using solvent extraction and conventional means of separation and purification, ten compounds were isolated from pulps and leaves of A.sessiliflorus. With screening tests of the antioxidant activity, we confirmed that Hyperin isolated from the leaves of A.sessiliflorus had a strong antioxidant.3,The content of total flavonoid,hyperin and isofrasidin of leaves of A.sessiliflorus which were collected in different harvest time were determined respectively by nitrite aluminum colorimetry and HPLC. The results showed that the best harvest time of leaves of A.sessiliflorus is from late July to mid August.4,Fingerprint of leaves of A.sessiliflorus in JiLin Province was established by HPLC/DAD detection methods. With Hyperin as the base peak.we demarcated seven common characteristic peaks. Evaluation of differences and overall similarity of spectras of ten batches of simples collected showed that: similarities of ten batches of samples were more than 0.95.Several innovations were as follows in this research:1,Screening antioxidant active ones of different polar extraction fractions of pulps and leaves of A.sessiliflorus in DPPH method, active fractions were identified.2,The best harvest time of leaves of A.sessiliflorus was identified according to total flavonoid content.3,HPLC fingerprint of leaves of A.sessiliflorus was established in Ji Lin Province.
