| This paper has taken the artificial shelterbelt of Dawujia watershed in Ao'han country of Chifeng city as the study area. Analyzed the Spatial pattern of shelter-forests with the help of GIS software, studied the spatial distribution of soil physical and chemical properties systematically, made a comprehensive evaluation on soil quality of typical woodland of different site conditions by using principal component analysis, discussed the reasonable space allocation of a typical small watershed forest, aimed at providing a basic guidance for the creation and management of the artificial ecological forest. The results showed that:(1) The shelterbelt mainly distributed in the slope ranges of less than 5 degree, 5 ~15 degree and 15 ~ 25 degree; five kinds of typical forest were distributed in all slope upward.(2) There was no difference between the lower part of the slope and the upper part of the slope of the soil physical and chemical properties; but there was a significant difference in the slope ranges of less than 5 degree, 5 ~15 degree and 15 ~ 25 degree of soil organic matter content, total nitrogen content, non-capillary porosity; and the soil organic matter content, total nitrogen content, non-capillary porosity were also different between the shady and sunny slope.(3) The soil quality of mixed plantation of Populus simonii with Caragana korshinskii located in the sunny slope is better than the shady slope; the soil quality of Populus simonii, mixed plantation of Pinus tabulaeformis with Hippophae rhamnoides, Pinus tabulaeformis, and Caragana korshinskii located in the shady slope is better than the sunny slope; the soil qualities of five kinds of typical forest are all the best in the slope range of less than 5 degree; the soil quality of mixed forest of trees and shrubs is the best while the soil quality of Caragana korshinskii is the worst. |
