The experiments were operated with clinical cases which were divided into 3 groups according to the pathogenic process of the very virulent porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome. In addition, a normal group was added in order to comparison with the clinical cases. The etiopathogenesis of the very virulent porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome was studied from three aspects:Firstly, apoptosis of tissue and organ was observed through TUNEL and Electron Microscope, and it's found that most of the apoptotic cells were the macrophages and the monocytes.Secondly, it's found that total white blood cells, total lymphocyte count, the activity of serum superoxide dismutases, and the serum lysozyme of the diseased pigs were decreased significantly from the normal level of blood index. The difference of blood index during the diseased pigs and the normal pigs was extremely significant.Thirdly, through the observation with Optical Microscope and Electron Microscope, there was a significant variation of lung, spleen, lymphonode and some other tissue and organ.
