Mineral nutrient is extremely important on plant highquality, high yield, high efficiency. The mean of fertiliz reasonably not only can increase the quantity of fertilizers, reducing the cost of planting at the same time enhance economic efficiency, and reduce the loss of nutrients, the environmental protection also have a positive role. Current nutritional diagnose technology in many countries are widely used in a variety of crops, trees and ornamental, and have achieved good results.The effects of N, P, K on the growth, development and quality of Senecio macroglossus were studied by hydroponical culture of five concentration of N, P, K respectively. The nutritional characteristics, fertilizer management and nutrition diagnoses of Senecio macroglossus were analysed by hydroponical culture. With a view of providing a theoretical basis for the research of ornamental plant nutrition and Senecio macroglossus.The best formulation of nutrient solutions was put forward. The conclusion of research are as follows:1. root of Senecio macroglossus growth rapidly in water and the rate of rhizogenesis could be 93%. The result shows that Senecio macroglossus is adapted to hydroponical culture. Observe root growth and cut off rotten roots promptly in the cultivation process to keep solution clean. Senecio macroglossus dose well in warm, dry and draughty condition with scatter sunlight. It is very drought and heat tolerant. It's leaf would be rotten in the position of wet chronically for it is shuned of damp. It is relatively pest free ,but aphids and coccid may sometimes be found and the plant would not be dead if it treated timely.2. The higher concentration of nitrogen in the early growth of Senecio macroglossus can promote the plant length growth, later inhibit their growth. The disposal of lower concentration nitrogen disadvantage to it. Plant length growth well when the ratio of N, P and K is reasonable. The contribution degree of the three factors on plant length of Senecio macroglossus was N>P>K. The disposal of N2P2K2 and N3P1K1 could improve the growth of plant length, but the plant length of N0P2K2 was the shortest.3. The root growth of Senecio macroglossus was significantly affected by the concentration of N, P, K. The treatment of N0 was proved to be more optimal for the root length growth. The high concentration of N and the high or low concentration of P had the negative effects on root growth. It is the same effect on root length with the concentration of P and K. The most optimal effect on root cubage was P. The high concentration of P promote root development early, the later show counterwork. The root cubage gain more slowly with disposal of low concentration N. The treatments of high concentration of N and the high or low concentraton of K had the negative effects on root growth and development. The root length of N0P2K2 was the longest and of N2P2K4 was the shortest. The root cubage of N1P3K1 was the largest and of N2P2K4 was the smallest.4. The effects on number of tender leaf of Senecio macroglossus with different levels of N, P, K were significant. The contribution degree of the three fators on number of tender leaf was N>P>K. The disposal of N3P1K1 had the largest number of tender leaf the least is N0P2K2. The effects on leaf area with different levels of N, P, Kand interact of NK, PK were limit significant. The interaction of high concentration of N, P, K promote the leaf area increase while the leaf area of disposals with lack of N, P, K were reduced. offer low concentration of N and P, the leaf area has also decreased. It showed that the effect relations of leaf area between the three elements were N>P>K. The leaf area of N3P3K3 was largest and N0P2K2 was the smallest.5. The effect of different levels of N, P, K on the chlorophyll content of Senecio macroglossus were significant. The contribution degree of the three fators on chlorophyll content was N>P>K. The chlorophyll content of N3P3K3 was highest and N0P2K2 was minimum.6. The effect of different levels of N, P, K on the resolvable protein content of Senecio macroglossus were significant. The contribution degree of the three fators on resolvable protein content was N>P>K. N3P3K3 was the most favorable for the compound of resolvable protein but N0P2K2 was the most unfavorable.7. The effect of different levels of N, P, K on the resolvable protein content of Senecio macroglossus were not significant. The high or low concentration of N, P, K made MDA content increasing. The MDA content of N1P3K3 was minimum, that means Senecio macroglossus could not damaged by this disposal and the N2P2K0 was highest means it was unfavorable for the growth and development of Senecio macroglossus.8.With the rising of N concentration, the nitrate-N content of Senecio macroglossus was increased gradually, but it was not increased when N≥15mmol·L-1(N2) of nutrient solution. The factors of P and K could promote the absorbency of leaf nitrate-N content but high concentration of P and K show counteraction. The result shows that N concentration in the nutrient solution can not be more than 15 mmol·L-1. Nitrate-N content of leaves can show the N situation was abundant or lacking. 9. With the rising of P concentration, the inorganic P content of Senecio macroglossus was increased and the inorganic P content can be a diagnose index of P content of plant. With the rising of N, K concentration, the inorganic P content of leaves was increased, but the and the P absorption capacity had declined with the disposals of high concentration of N and K.10. The results showed that, not only one treatment were favorable for the growth of Senecio macroglossus. The effects on Senecio macroglossus of every disposals in different growth stages. Considered with situation of growth, physiological and biochemical index, plant diseases and insect pest, it displayed that: N3P3K3, N3P1K1 were beneficial for Senecio macroglossus in early growth stage and had better ornamental quality than other treatments. N1P3K3 and N1P3K1 showed advance action in the later growth stage, while N2P2K2 was favorable for plant growth and development in the whole process of cultivation. The Senecio macroglossus need sufficient N in pre-cultivation, but in later growth stage it should pay attention to the fertilization of P and K, especially P. N2P2K2 was the most suitable nutrient solution for hydroponic Senecio macroglossus, the drugs content of this disposal as follow: Ca(NO3)2 0.8207 g·L-1,KNO30.5056 g·L-1,MgSO4·7H2O0.6162 g·L-1,KH2PO40.2722 g·L-1,Fe-EDTA13.02mg·L-1,H3BO32.86 mg·L-1,MnSO41.015 mg·L-1,CuSO4·5H2O0.079 mg·L-1,ZnSO4·7H2O0.22 mg·L-1,H2moO40.09 mg·L-1.
