Acalypha australis L. is an annual weedy plants of Euphorbiaceae and widely distributed. It has the effect of antibacterial capability, diminish inflammation, forbidden dysentery,stop bleeding. In this paper, we consider entire plants of Acalypha australis L.as object, and study the Main Functional Components extraction from Acalypha australis L. and their Antibacterial Capability in vitro of Acalypha australis L.The reasults as followed:The total flavonoids content of Acalypha australis L. is determinated by spectrophotometry, and measured as the total flavonoid content 1.96 percent. The total flavonoids extraction process technology has been optimized. Using the orthogonal experiment to gain the best technique condition of the total flavonoids: the ratio of the soild and fluid is 1:14. The extraction temperature is 80℃. The extraction time is 4h. The best centrifugalization speed of the total flavonoids extraction from Acalypha australis L. is 6000 r·min-1.We do the study about the antibiosis activity component through experiment of compairing antibiosis effect of amaranth iron extraction water and 60% alcohol extraction water .The study demonstrate that Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureas, Salmonella cholerae-suis, have some Certain inhibition effect, particularly have the best inhibition effect of Staphylococcus aureas; the effect of extracted water was 60 % better than alcohol extraction water The inhibition concentration was 62.50 mg·mL-1,15.62 mg·mL-1,125.00 mg·mL-1 expectively. So it is considered the extraction of ethyl acetate is the from Acalypha australis L. is more effective concentration of the effect site.We take advantage of the organic solvent, extraction technique, divide the amaranth iron extraction water having the better antibiosis action in to four polarity parts of petroleum benzine, chloroform, acetoacetate, and n-butanol. Inhibition experiment show that the extract of acetoacetate have the apparant effect than the other parts.We analyze the extraction of ethyl acetate from Acalypha australis L. by HPLC and use HSCCC separating, purifying for the first time, we get one of active antibacterial ingredients are gallic acid by detection.On the research, we prove that Acalypha australis L. which is a widebroad-spectrum antibacterial substances and have inhibited effect of common bacteria. From the research we can know the effective component is water-solvable substance. We have confirmed that one of the effective antibacterial component is gallic acid through the subsatance basing research.
