Based on 55%, 75%, 95% of relative soil water content in different periods on Achyranthes bidentata BL ,effect of water regulation studied by the characters related to the agronomy, soil, physiological, yield, quality, medical components. In this paper, we obtain the following results:(1)Water effect on agronomic charactersThe difference was significant of agronomic characters between treatments. The agronomic characters of 55% of relative soil water content was the hightest in period 1 and 95% of relative soil water content was the lowest in period 3. This suggests that low water content at prophase was good for Achyranthes bidentata growth and high water content at telophase was go against the growth of Achyranthes bidentata.(2)Water effect on physiological indexesComprehensive observation on physiological indexes we can find that: 55%,75% of relative soil water content were good in water content , water retention and Chlorophyll content and 95% of relative soil water content had a opposite tendency. It caused the increase of SOD ,POD,PPO activity in 55% and 95% of relative soil water content and 75% of relative soil water content had a opposite tendency in P1. Effect of 75% relative soil water content is accordance with effect of 95% relative soil water content. Enzymes Activities of 55% relative soil water content was the hightest in period 3. This suggests that Achyranthes bidentata had the ability of resistance to flooding stress.(3)Water effect on yieldRoot yield: The root yield of 75% relative soil water content were higher in period 1 and period 2. 95% of relative soil water content in each period and 55% relative soil water content in P2 were lower.ABPS yield: The ABPS yield of 75% relative soil water content was the highest in period 1 and 95% of relative soil water content was lowest. The ABPS yield of 75% relative soil water content was the highest in period 2 and 95% of relative soil water content was lowest. The ABPS yield of 55% relative soil water content was the highest in period 3 and 95% of relative soil water content was lowest. Oleanolic acid yield: The oleanolic acid yield of 55% relative soil water content was the highest in period 1 and 95% of relative soil water content was lowest. The oleanolic acid yield of 75% relative soil water content was the highest in period 2 and 55%,95% of relative soil water content was lowest. The oleanolic acid yield of 75% relative soil water content was the highest in period 3 and 55% of relative soil water content was lowest.(4)Best plan for irrigationIn synthetic consideration of quantity and quality of the products, the optimal range of conversion 75% was superior.Consideration of ABPS yield, the 55% relative soil water content in P1,P2,55% relative soil water content in P3 was superior.Consideration of Oleanolic acid yield, the 55% relative soil water content in P1, 95% relative soil water content in P2,75% relative soil water content in P3 was superior.
