The genetic diversity of 251 individuals of five local goat in Henan province was studied using Eighteen microsatellite locis(including Niutui goat,Huai goat,Henan dairy goat,Taihang black goat,Funiu white goat). Numbers of alleles, polymorphism information contents, heterozygosity, HW Test, private alleles, dominant alleles, coefficient gene differentiation,the standard genetic distance and Nei geometrical genetic distance.among the five goat populations were computed with and dendrogram were calculated to evaluate the genetic variability within breeds and genetic relationship among breeds. which are association with QTL of growth. at 6 microsatellite markers. The study was aimed to provide scientific basis for proper development and protection of these goat breeds. The results were as follows :1. 18 microsatellites loci were used to evaluate the genetic polymorphisms in five goat breeds. the 18 loci were polymorphic and 211 alleles were detected, with a mean of11.72, which indicated that the 18 loci were more polymorphic in the five goat breeds.2. We get the allele frequency with the POPGENE program. Accordingly,we calculate PIC,He and Ne, which is 0.838~0.869,0.807~0.844,3.35~13.15 respectively. This showed that there were great variability and broad genetic base in the five goat breeds.3.Some dominate alelles and private alelles were shown to be important in the costruction of the population structure.4. Heterozygosity in subpopulation, total Heterozygosity, and coefficient gene differentiation of the 18 microsatellites loci were calculated.The genetic variation between populations is 3.4% of totle population, which demonstrated small genetic differentiation between the five goat breeds.5. Genetic distance of the Ds and Da was calculated among the five goat breeds by DISPAN program. The results show that the genetic distance between populations vary inapparently. According to DS and Dcoa,we make NJ and UPGMA cluster.The reconstructing tree by NJ method match with that by UPGMA method, so the result is consistent .6 .The results of Chis which Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium is showed that all goat breeds do not fit these 18 locus or selection, genetic drift etc.7. The least square means of growth trait were obtained by SAS6.12 program.The 5 microsatellite locis BM6444,MAF70,BM315,BM1818,BMC1206 were associated to growth traits of local goats in Henan privance.
