| The two types of canine adenovirus are related and cross-immunogenous. The canine adenovirus 1 (CAV-1) is the causative agent of canine infectious hepatitis and fox, bear encephalitis disease, and the canine adenovirus 2(CAV-2), the causative agent of canine layngotracheitis and diarrhea. CAV causes serious disease in canine and fur animals.In this paper, a canine adenovirus (CAV) strain was isolated from Foxes in Weifang with Dk cell, it was demonstrated that it is a type-1 virulent strain. And the Regulation of Sera neutralization antibody against CAV-1 in Young Foxes was detected.A CAV-1 strain was isolated from foxes in Weifang. The isolate was designated CAV-1 through a series of systematic identification assays, such as morphological, physicochemical, biological and molecular virology assay, and so on. It can grow in DK cell line and produce cytopathic effects with the characteristics of CAV. The virions show icosachedral symmetry, about 80 nm in diameter. The strain resist the chloroform treatment and is stable in pH3.0 and 56℃, but isn't suppressed by 5-IUDR. The results of PCR with CAV specific primer show that the eletrophoretic fractions are same to that of the control CAV-1. The isolate can infect the susceptible foxes that show fox encephalitis symptom. The results implied that the isolate does be CAV-1.It was to explore the increasing regulation of antibody against CAV-1 in serum on the different ages. Blood was gathered from jugular vein of 30 foxes on 30d, 45d and 60d. And sera for the micro neutralization test were made from blood. As a result, SN titers of anti-CAV-1 antibody in young foxes on 30d are relatively high, low on 45d, and almost dispear on 60d. Antibody variety regularity of foxes infection encephalitis was tested. Excellent immunity could be got when young foxes were inoculated live caccin twice.
