Enterococcus is human and animal's intestines normal bacterium. Recent studies have confirmed the virulence of enterococcus. NISS ranked it as the second pathogeny bacterium. In recent years, there was happened a new infection caused by enterococci from the lamb encephalitis at the large-scale sheep Farm in the part areas of Xinjiang, and some biological characteristics of lamb encephalitic enterococci were studied by Qi Ya-yin.To understand the ecological distribution of enterococci and related biological characteristics which were associated with the pathogenicity enterococci in the part areas of Xinjiang, enterococci were isolated from the samples of the healthy sheep,s nasal swab, anal swab, faeces, silage, cottonseed hull, water and the soil of their surrounding environment of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, including the Agricultural five division 84 Farm and 90 Farm, Agricultural eight division 142 Farm, Xin Ye sheep farm,Xi Bu Mu Ye sheep Farm and Agricultural seven division 129 Farm. And contrast the biological characteristics between enterococci isolated and lamb encephalitic enterococci. Detected the virulence factors esp and gelE gene of enterococci isolates which caused mice died. Results as follow:1. 470 samples were detected and 75 Gram positive coccobacterias which were gemination or catenation were isolated from 470 samples by cultural character, biochemical character, and PCR amplification . 4 are non-enterococci and 71 are enterococci. Results showed that enterococci distribution rate of sheep and their surrounding environment is 15.1%. And germ-carrying rate was high in the faeces, the next were soil and anal swab.2. Results of 71 enterococci isolates by using Streptococcus Grouping Kit showed that: 63 isolates were identified as Lancefield D, 8 isolated were Lancefield C, while the majority lamb encephalitic enterococci were Lancefield D, and Lancefield G and unknow types.3. To detect the haemolyticus of 71 enterococci isolateds, and use K-B method to compare resistance of 10 kinds of antibiotics betweenβ-hemolytic isolateds and nonβ-hemolytic isolateds, and virulence experience on mouse. Having 59.2% haemolysis enterococci isolated. Drug-resistance ofβ-hemolytic strains are higher than nonβ-hemolytic strains.7 enterococci isolateds lead to mouse died which were the isolateds of 84 Farm and 129 Farm, and all found to beβ-hemolytic isolateds.4. The primer of esp and gelE were designed according to GeneBank.Detected this 7 strains and random to respectively draw the 3 normal strains of surrounding environment of 84 Farm and 129 Farm and 1 enterococcus standard strain. 3 strain has gelE gene, but hasn't esp gene. And for the rest hasn't both gelE and esp gene. This is the first study of enterococci ecology on sheep and their surrounding environment in the parts area of Xinjiang, which can not only provide an important theory guidance for pathogenesis mechanism of enterococci, but also provide an important basis for prevention and cure of enterococci infections,as well as provide scientific bases and theory guidance for high-performance vaccine preparation of lamb enterococci.
