The Cymbidium is Chinese traditional famous flower which deeply influences the Chinese traditional cultural development, and is loved by Chinese and Asian people. The history of planting Chinese Cymbidium is centuries-old in China, however, there are significant problems in the production processes at present, the over exploitment of wild Cymbidium could cause the heavy damage on national resources, the technology of breed selection and planting need to be improved.The experiment implemented the industrial production to investigate by using the combining method of radiation induced mutation and tissue culture, and gained the results as below: The best dosage of the induced mutation on cymbidium, the Semi-lethal dosage is 10GY-20GY, such a dosage can help the cymbidium get more mutation, and would not damage the plants much, furthermore, the offspring would have high frequency of mutation and stable conditions under such dosage. There are different capabilities of radiation resistant among different varieties, for example: the radiation resistant of Cymbidium sinense is over Cymbidium ensifolium which is over Cymbidium hookerianum; in the same variety and same breed, the tissue structure with high development degree have higher capability of radiation resistant than the tissue structure with low development degree; the experiment found out the impacts of Chinese Cymbidium under different radiation dosage operation. Two regenerated plants with mutant in sturdy and variegation by radiation induced mutation were bred, which character variations are relatively stable. the mutation condition are stable. The combination of BA and NAA has the dominant cause for the shoot tip of Cymbidium hookerianum to induce the Protocorm; the combination of BA+NAA Leeds the significant multiplication to the Protocorm of Cymbidium hookerianum, The results indicated the main factors that effect on effect of induction and proliferation of Protocorm of Cymbidium ensifolium . Culturing with Murashige and Skoog (MS) basal medium supplemented with 4 mg/L BA and 3 mg/L NAA can make Protocorm one-step-seedling formation. And reduces the breeding cost; the experiment proved up the genes of Chinese Cymbidium plantlets transplantation survival rate.
