An Experimental Plan And Implementation Situation Analysis About Suhao×Zhongye Of A New Variety Of Silkworm, Bombyx Mori.

The Suhao×Zhongye is a newly variety of Bombyx mori that suits jiangsu and other provinces, that is bred selectively from the outstanding breeding source of Japan and China, with technology of Japan Kanabo company. The main economic indicator can up to the leading level in China. The results of the experimental rearing in the lab and the countryside plot are excellent, the quality is good and the nature is stable. It has passed the examination by Jiangsu Province silkworm variety examination and approval committee in 2003, and is one of the better varieties in our country.In order to enlarge the rearing plot of the new variety, and form the optimization technique standards that suit to breed in the countries, and to promote the popularization and application, we designed an integrity experimental plan in this research and have been actualized in Dongtai for 2 years.It has been approved form the Pilot Scheme that the comprehensive economic traits of Suhao×Zhongye, and silk quality especially, have achieved the leading level in China. This variety has a lot of merits, for example, strong disease resistance, high cocoon yield, high leaf-silk conversion rate, significant benefits and high silk quality. The cocoon quality has achieved the most senior 6A-class of silk standards. The new variety can meet the need of agro-industrial and trade for all sectors. So this species can be large promoted in Jiangsu Province. The paper also summed up the problems in the process of 2-year pilot in Dongtai and also provided the solutions and the implementation results.
