Morphological And Nutritional Characters Of Platycodon Grandiflorum's Root And Stem From Different Localities And Performances Of Ex-situ Cultivation

In this paper, Platycodon grandiflorum,a kind of key medical species,of four different localities,'Zitong',Sichuan,'Zibo',Shandong,'Chifeng',Inner Mongolia and'Taihe',Anhui, was taken as the experimental materials for the comparative analysis of their morphology and nutritional components; Six provenances of P. grandiflorum,'Taihe',Anhui,'Zibo',Shandong,'Pan'an',Zhejiang,'Luonan',Shanxi,'Tongbai',Henan and'Chifeng', Inner Mongolia, planted in Fuyang, Zhejiang after two years, were used for comparative analysis of morphology and nutritional components.By means of final assessment, several good provenances were selected for cultivation at Fuyang.The main conclusions are as follows:1. Through the comparative analysis of indicators of shape and nutritional components, we recognized that among the four P.grandiflorum localities, e.g.Zibo, Zitong,Chifeng,and Taihe, the locality of Chifeng was the best which was relatively high in quality.2. Planted in Fuyang, Zhejiang for two years,all the six provenances of P. grandiflorum, e.g.'Taihe','Zibo','Pan'an','Luonan','Tongbai'and'Chifeng', were highly performed in morphology and nutritional components and they reached the quality of original locality material,or even got better quality than those medical materials in some indicators.Therefore, the introduction was feasible.3. The comprehensive evaluation results of multiple indicators by the quantitative coordinates showed that among the six different provenances planted in Fuyang the provenance of'Pan'an'was the best, it was followed by'Zibo'and'Taihe'.The provenances of'Luonan','Chifeng'and'Tongbai'didn't perform well in Fuyang. Among the top three, the Zhejiang local provenance,'Pan'an',was the first.'Zibo'and'Taihe'were the second and third. The results indicated that the growth of P. grandiflorum had a great relationship with the local climate and geographical environment. Inner Mongolia compared with Shanxi and Henan, was far away from Fuyang, however, growth was better than the latter both.These results reflected that the provenance from Inner Mongolia compared with the latter both was more adaptable to the climate and geographical environment of Fuyang.
