This study was finished with Rehmannia glutinosa(Gaert.)L. (Beijing No 1) from Wen Xian Agricultural Science Institute, Henan Province. The field experiments were conducted in experimental base of Zhongcheng Green Agricultural Technology Co. Ltd. Rhenannia glutinosa L. were dealed with different fertilization measures in the field experiments. The dynamic growth, optimal harvest time and influences of different processing methods on the effective components were studied. The results will provide theoretical basis for GAP cultivation of Rhenannia glutinosa L. The Major experiment results are as follows:1. Through testing the indices such as output of Rhenannia glutinosa L. planted in different time, it was found that the time required for rooting, sprouting and flowering varied with the planting time, and there was no significant difference for the related indices. Suitable temperature and soil moisture will shorten the emerging time and rate of emergence. The best cultivating time for Rhenannia glutinosa L. in Hanzhong from mid-March and early April.2. Productive root of different sizes has little effect on the growth of overground parts. Productive roots of 4-5cm in diameter had the most output.The most suitable planting depth is 7-8cm with the most output. The observation of plant height, leaf area, and crown width in its growing time showed little difference in other treatment. Three treatments showed great difference, with the depth of 7-8cm producing the best output.The best planting density of Rhenannia glutinosa L. is 1.5m wide with 4 rows in one line and row spacing of 30 cm*25 cm. The planting density had great effect on output.The best output lies in the treatment of ridge forming of 35cm. But the best plant height, leaf area, and crown width lie in the level planting with ridge forming of 35cm coming next.The suitable planting is drill and its output is higher than that of dibble seedling. There was great difference in output. There was little difference in plant height, leaf area, and crown width in its growing time, and drill is good for the mode of great area planting with machines.3. Thinning and setting can be applied in the land where it is suitable for planting Rhenannia glutinosa L. and adequate density can effectively raise the output. Disbud treatment of Rhenannia glutinosa L. showed the highest output with disbud without applying additional fertilization, and next comes disbud with applying additional fertilization. There is little difference in the two treatments. Bud with additional fertilization showed great difference from the previous treatments. Bud without additional fertilization produced the extremely low output, and differed greatly from the other treatments.4. To prevent the growing of slender Rhizome, scarification and weeding should be done in time in the course of growth to avoid small earthnut, low swelling ,low commodity value and low output.Planting with plant ash has little effect on the output, but can help heal the injured tissue to improve percentage of germination. Sterilized treatment with sodium p(dimethylamino)benzenediazo sulfonate 2.5 kg/667m~2 showed the highest output, next comes the treatment with TUNJUNTE (Tuzet) 1.5 kg/667m~2, and no sterilization showed the lowest output.5. The output the underground root and contents of effective components increased with the growth, and reached the highest in mid-November. With the withering of the parts above the ground, the contents goes down. It is generally concluded that the best harvest time is between mid-October and late November, and the harvest length is one year.The study of Rhenannia glutinosa L. growth showed that the developing curve of the root, stem, fresh weight is typically double S. The accumulation of the effective components, compared with the root swelling, the variation of weight, the accumulation of dry matter, showed no clear positive correlation.6. The content of catalpol with washing treatment is higher than that with showing. Six-minute washing showed the best result, and three-minute washing comes next. Six-minute showing showed the worst result. The best drying method is to dry first with 50℃and then 60℃and the highest content of catalpol was reached.
