Comparative Study On Anti-thrips Alfalfa

In this article, Anti-Thrips alfalfa and three alfalfa varieties, the alien alfalfa varieties Medicago sativa L.cv.Algongion, Inner Mongolia local varieties Medicago sativa L.cv. Aohan, and selected hybrid varieties Medicago varia Martin.cv. Caoyuan No.2, are compared though the Phenophase,over-wintering rate ,field densities,their growth laws, the root crown coarseness,the very important factors affected the yield,the yield,the stem/leaf ratio, the dry weight /fresh weight ratio,the nutrition composition,the flowering,the seed production and quality.The resulte showed:(1) In the respect of the Phenophase,anti-Thrips alfalfa is similar to caoyuan No.2.(2) In the respect of the over-wintering rate ,field densities,the root crown coarseness,the very important factors affected the yield,the stem/leaf ratio , the dry weight /fresh weight ratio,there were not obvious differences among them .(3) In the respect of the grassland's yield and the dry matter,there were not obvious differences among Ant- Thrips alfalfa Alfalfa Variety and Caoyuan No.2. But much higher than Argangjin alfalfa and Aohan alfalfa.(4) The anti- Thrips alfalfa was rich in crude ash contents,crude fat,Ca,P,total protein,crude protein and poor in crude fibre , which obsolutely showed the anti- Thrips alfalfa was a kind of superiority character.(5) In the respect of the the flowering,the seed production and quality, there were not obvious differences among them .Anti-Thrips alfalfa was a kind of superiority seriery, it should be registered as a new variety.
