Cistanche tubulosa (Schenk)Whig is belonged to obligate holoparasitic plant on host root. The host is Tamarix spp. Under the natural condition, seed sprouting rate is very low.This experiment studies Cistanche tubulosa (Schenk)Whig and its host- Tamarix spp from the shape and the physiology angle. Main conclusion as follows:1. By studying seed characteristics of Cistanche tubulosa (Schenk)Whig, we can find its vigor is above 39.7% when the seed width is larger than 0.5 mm. While the seed width is under 0.5 mm, its vigor is less than 15%.The seed that width must be above 0.5 mm can use to inoculation during production. This paper proposed that 0.5% of TTC concentration,35℃Of temperature and 4~7 h of dyeing time could be the best condition for Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seed.2. By researching the germination factor of Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seeds, we discussed how the condition of conventional germination, plant growth substances and pre-raise influence germination of Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seeds .The experiment indicated: there are no Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seeds germinated in conventional germination ; Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seeds can germinate on the 1/2 MS basal medium without plant growth substances, but the germination ratio is very low; Some plant growth substances can induce germination of Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seeds ,the combination of NAA0.2mg/L+KT0.5mg/L+GA30.5mg/L is the best ,the germination rate is 18.0% ;Temperature can influence Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seeds germination, its can germinate in 18℃~ 33℃, the germination ratio is the highest in 23℃, it is 18.0%, it is no distinct difference in 23℃, 28℃and 33℃, but it distinct higher than the germination ratio in 13℃, 18℃and 38℃. Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seeds can not germinate in 18℃and 38℃. The condign germinated temperature is in 18℃~ 33℃. Pre-raise temperature , pre-raise time and the osmotic potential of pre-raise can also Influence germination of Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Whig seeds , the combination of 23℃, 0 MPa and pre-raise Seven days is the best ,the germination rate is 24.0%.3.There are T. elongata Ledeb, T. laxa Willd, Tamarix gracilis Willd, Tamarix gansuensis H. Z. Zhang, Tamarix hispida Willd, Tamarix karelinii Bge, Tamarix leptostachys Bge, Tamarix ramosissima Ldb, Tamarix hohenackeri Bge, Tamarix austromongolica Nakai and Tamarix chinensis Lour. Its almost distributing Bayannaoer, Wuhai and alashan of western Inner Mongolia, Tamarix chinensis Lour and Tamarix ramosissima Ldb distributing abroad, its familiar in huhhot and Baotou of mid Inner Mongolia. The plant of Tamarix L begin to grow new leaves in the middle ten days of April in western Inner Mongolia, its begin to abloom in the first ten days of May, its achieved pollination and germen began to enlarge in the middle ten days of May, its began to fruit in the first ten days of June. Florescences of the same genus but different individual plant of the plant of Tamarix are difference. Individual plant florescence of Tamarix ramosissima Ldb is about 15 days and colonial plant florescence is about 45 days. Tamarix ramosissima Ldb seeds begin to mature in the first ten days of July and Tamarix ramosissima Ldb leaves begin to fall off in the last ten days of September.4.Tamarix ramosissima Lbd. seeds can germinate in 15℃~35℃, the germination is the best in 25℃~30℃;The germinate ratio begin to reduce when temperature over 30℃, The germinate ratio reduced to 90.3% in 35℃. Tamarix ramosissima Lbd. seeds can germinate if the content of NaCl in 0~0.1%, and its can not germinate when the concentration of NaCl over 0.5%;It can improve germination in condign salinity, the Tamarix ramosissima Lbd seeds germination is the highest when the content of NaCl in 0.01%, and it is 98.7%.
