| The thesis mainly studied the individual development of Camaena cicatricosa collected from Guiyang, Guizhou through morphology and isozyme. The morphological alterations in the process of their individual development was studied by measuring some important parameters, such as the height and diameter of shell and aperture, and, by using statistical software SPSS, we further constructed their relationships between the weight and volume of the shell. Through vertical PAGE, the isozyme patterns changes of the five stages during the individual development were analyzed, and the five stages were: egg, first zoea, larvae, sub-adult and adult. For the last three stages, the EST, LDH and MDH isozymes from tissues of liver, kidney, salivary glands, mantle, esophagus, foot, ovotestis, hermaphrodite duct, albuminous gland, flagellum, digest fluid were all analyzed to deduce the developmental changes and tissure specificity of the three key enzymes. Meanwhile, we also tried to find the suitable temperature and moisture for their development and studied the reproduction action, activity rhythm and the preference of food in the development. The results indicated:1. Curve Regressions by statistical software SPSS indicated: on larvae and sub-adult stages, exponential relationship exits between all the parameters referred, demonstrating the exponential growth of the individual during these periods. There was no certain relationship between the parameters on the adult stage, indicating non-regular variations because of the strong influences of the environment. The variations of albuminous gland, hermaphrodite duct and flagellum in the individual developmental process were also described in the thesis.2. The isozyme patterns changes studied through vertical PAGE indicated: owing to its two enzyme bands with high molecular weight, isozyme patterns in eggs were special, and the activity and areas of enzyme changed before hatch. It was a pity we could not investigate the variations because of the lacking of specimens after hatch. During the five stages of the individual development, the activities and bands of enzyme increased constantly. The EST isozyme on one hand presented specifies in different tissue, but on the other hand 3-4 enzyme bands existed in all the tissues researched and their activities were strong, showing their significant in identifying species. There was no basic enzyme belt in LDH and MDH, but the activities of some bands were strong and these bands present regularly, so they could be important index in species identification. The analysis also demonstrated the tissue specificity of isozymes. What's more, activity of the same enzyme in different tissues was variable. The specificity of isozyme reflects not only the different functions, but also the spacial specificity of different tissues.3. Our own feeding experiences showing: Camaena cicatricose need proper temperature and moisture to maintain their normal development and the selection of food kept changing during different stages. |
