The trail was conducted for 200 days. Selection of 36 healthy Small-tail-Han sheep and Tan Sheep respectively, kept under the same conditions ,and nine of them similar weight slaughtered were selected at the age of 80 days, 120 days, 160 days and 200 days to comparatively study the trends in the growth of intestine and its digestive enzymes in Tan sheep and Small-tail sheep respectively. The results were as the followings:1.Index of intestine on Small-tailed Han Sheep is higher than Tan Sheep; while Tan Sheep had the more widen increase range. Large intestine was more board than Small intestine. The net weight increase range in segments of sheep intestine sequence: Colon>Caecum> Rectum>Jejunum>Ileum >Duodenum; and also is the length order.2.80-200 Days, Segments of small intestine had changed, Duodenum is 29~42cm, Jejunum is 1990-2500cm, and Ileum is 25-60cm. Segments of large intestine length happened to variation: Caecum16-24 cm, Colon330-495cm, Rectum7-14cm.3.80-200 Days, The ratio on small intestine net weight in body weight was gradually descending, so were Jejunum and Ileum in body weight ratio. while the ratio Duodenum in body weight was stable. 80-200 Days, Duodenum and Jejunum ratio of small intestine were also trended lower, but the ratio about Ileum was fluctured that ascended then got down, which had a lower tendency. The length of three segments in small intestine had no remark difference, and the ratio of Large intestine in body was equal.4.pH in Small intestine digesta of Sheep was rising as days old, from the acid to neutral. Lactase activities in it gradually decreased(P<0.01)and amylase activities in increased(P<0.01).The activities of trypsin and lipase hade a larger fluctulation , but had a significant difference among days(P<0.01).5.pH in Small intestine digesta between Small-tailed Han Sheep and Tan Sheep is significant difference(P<0.01)and Tan Sheep is higher than Small-tailed Han Sheep0.45;. Activities of lactase in Small intestine digesta between Small-tailed Han Sheep and Tan Sheep is difference(P<0.05)and Small-tailed Han Sheep is higher than Tan Sheep. Activities of amylase, trypsin and lipase had no difference between two breeds(P>0.05),but activites of amylase and lipase ,Tan Sheep is higher than Small-tailed Han Sheep 2U/mL , activites of trypsin is Small-tailed Han Sheep higher than Tan Sheep 12 U/mL.6.pH, activities of lactase ,amylase ,trypsin and lipase is significant difference(P<0.01) among segments of Duodenum, Jejunum and Ileum.
