Dynamics Analysis On Forest Resources And Its Management Countermeasures

Forest resources are the foundation of forest and environment construction and play an irreplaceable role in sustainable development of economic social and environment. They are also reproducible natural resources. It is an important practical problem and a key point for the harmonic sustainable development of society–economy—environment to adjust and control forest resources, to ensure their sustainable, to improve the ability of sustainable development, and to satisfy social and economic development. Qinling Mountains were once main places of Shaanxi forestry and provided a large volume of timber for our country in the past decades. By now, it has been nearly ten years for implementing natural forest protection project in these areas, thus natural forest resources have been gotten effective protection and restoration. Therefore, the study of forest resources current situation, dynamic changing and management strategy were conducted in the typical study area of Ningdong forest bureau in Qinling forest areas. It is not only the requirement of Qinling forest sustainable management, but also is benefit for forcing natural forest protection project, improving productivity of woodland, boost the good circulation of ecological-economic system of forest industry and improving ecological environment.Based on the forest resources inventory data in 1987 and 2005, taking the sustainable development theory, ecological theory and systematic theory as guide, forest resources current situation, dynamic changes, development tendency and management countermeasures have been researched. The main conclusions were as follows:1. After analyzing the dynamic changes procession of forest resources in Ningdong forest bureau, the results indicate that forest cover rate increase from 96.53% to 97.36% from 1988 to 2007. Forest area increased, whereas stock volume in the farm is decreased at the same time.2. The results show that the change of forest category structure is remarkable. The area and stock volume of timber forest decrease to a great extent, fromm16 986.0hm2 to 1 917.8hm2 from 1988 to 2005. By contraries, the area and stock volume of protection forest increase in the certain extent. The area and stock volume of protection forest only 633.0hm2 and 65 115 m3 in 1988 respectively, it increased to 8 236.1hm2 and 903 202.2m3 respectively in 2005.3 Tree species anylized shows that the area and stock volume of conifer trees present an ascending trend, but the area and stock volume of most broadleaf trees are decline. The area and stock volume of Quercus species'are increased in this farm.4 Classification management and vary implementation in different plots were put forward under the condition of fulfilling forest principal function. Natural secondary forest should be managed according to the close to nature forest management theory. The planning of woodland protection and development and utilization of natural secondary forest should workout in time. Forest resources should be developed and managed in scientific and reasonable ways.
