This paper is divided into two parts. The first part focuses on the rapid tissue culture and cutting propagation and the contents of photosynthetic pigment of the color-leaf herb, Brazil Iresine herstii; The second part focuses on initial research of tissue culture for color-leaf woody plant, Acer rubrum L.In the first part, the explant survival rate of Iresine herstii tissue culture is studied in the drawing season, different biocide and different sterilizing time. The research shows that the best drawing season is spring and summer, and the best month is July with 90% survival rate. The Mercuric Chloride of 0.15% is better for the explant survival after sterilizing than 5% and 10% sodium hypochlorite solution and the best sterilizing time is 15min. The paper also studies the multiplication of Iresine herstii in the culture medium with different hormones and sucrose. The research indicates that the best culture medium is MS+BA 2.0 mg/L+NAA 0.2mg/L+Sucrose 3%+10g/L Agar with the multiplication rate of 4.33. The best root media is l/2MS+NAA0.5mg/L +20g/L sucrose+1.0% agar after the study of root media and culture seedling inplantation.Secondly, the paper studies the cutting reproductive mode of Iresine herstii. Although the method is usually used in the production, there are still many problems. The test mainly focuses on the survival rate of the slip , the rooting rate, the average length and number of root , and the average stock height in different cutting substrates. The result indicates that the optimized substrates is turf+Vermiculite +perlite. Finally, the photosynthetic pigments of potted seedling and culture seedling of Iresine herstii and Phytobezoar are extracted and measured and the results shows that there is no difference in the content of photosynthetic pigment between Iresine herstii and other green plant. The second part studies the tissue culture for dormant bud of Acer rubrum L. The bud can easily produce calli and propagate but has no differentiation on the culture medium. Some blastema may develop bud and the root can be induced to grow plantlets, whose transplantation is failed.
