Artemisia annua L is one-year-life herb which is short photoperiod.Its leaf and bud can produce Artemisinin and other products.Artemisinin is one kind of new medicine which can prevent and control malaria highly effectively,fast-acting and safely.Artemisinin has aroused particular interest in the western countries.The product has been sold to more than 50 countries, such as,Africa,the South America,Australian and Southeast Asia.Artemisinin is one of Traditional Chinese Medicine researching and developing according to the western medicine research standard,approved by the WHO.It is also one of two Traditional Chinese Medicine,which has been included by World Pharmacopoeia.At present,a lot of reserch has been carried on the chemistry,pharmacology and comprehensive utilization of Artemisinin in the world.But few research reports on the cultivation and physiology of Artemisia annua L.The regularity of Artemisia annua L growth would be found in order to increase production.At seedling stage,the fertilization bring remarkable effect on dry weight per plant and yield of dry leaf.The density bring extremely remarkable effect on RGR per plant,yield of dry leaf and CGR of stem.In branching period,the fertilization bring extremely remarkable effect on dry weight per plant.the density bring extremely remarkable effect on dry weight per plant and yield of dry leaf.During the growing season,the fertilization bring remarkable effect on daily increment of dry weight per plant,CGR per plant,yield of dry leaf and dry weight of branch.The fertilization bring extremely remarkable effect on dry weight per plant,RGR per plant,LAI,leaf area per plant, leaf dry weight per plant and CGR of leaf.The more fertilizer is used,the LAI and leaf area per plant increased higher.The density bring remarkable effect on dry weight of plant and CGR per plant.The density bring extremely remarkable effect on CGR of leaf,dry weight of branch,yield of dry leaf and CGR of root.In budding period,the levels of fertilization bring extremely remarkable effect on dry weight per plant,T/R,Leaf area duration and dry weight of root.The density bring remarkable effect on daily increment of dry weight per plant.The density bring extremely remarkable effect on dry weight per plant,T/R,LAI,leaf area per plant,Leaf area duration,dry weight of leaf and dry weight of root.The difference between fertilization level and RGR of root,daily increment of dry weight per plant,daily weight increasement of leaf,CGR of leaf,RGR of leaf,daily Weight increasement of root,daily weight increasement of stem,RGR of stem,dry weight of stem,CGR of branch,RGR of branch,daily weight increasement of branch,RGR of leaf,daily weight increasement of leaf and LWR is not significant.The difference between planting density and RGR of root,daily increment of dry weight per plant,daily weight increasement of leaf,CGR of leaf,RGR of leaf,daily weight increasement of root,daily weight increasement of stem,RGR of stem,dry weight of stem,CGR of branch,RGR of branch,daily weight increasement of branch,RGR of leaf,daily weight increasement of leaf and LWR is not significant,too.The nutrient contents in Artemisia annua L vary with organs and growth periods.The content change of K is biggest and the P is smallest.Under high fertilization level,the order of N content in organs is leaf>branch>root>stem.And under low and middle fertilization level,the order is leaf>branch>stem>root.Under low and middle and high fertilization level,the order of P content in organs is leaf>branch>stem>root.The order of K content in organs is complex.In plants the contents of N,P and K accumulated little in earlier growing period,quickly increased later.The Accumulation rate of K content is the quickest and the P is the slowest.The leaves production of Artemisia annua L is significantly different between high and low fertilization levels.The output difference between high and middle fertilization levels is not significant,so is between middle and low fertilization levels.When the density is 30000 plant/ha the leaves yield of Artemisia annua L is the highest.It is significantly different from the density of 12000 plant/ha and 18000 plant/ha,but not different from the density of 24000 plant/ha and 36000 plant/ha.When fertilization level is high,under the density of 30000 plant/ha,the yield of Artemisia annua L leaf is the highest.When fertilization level is low,under the density of 12000 plant/ha,the yield of Artemisia annua L leaf is the lowest.The difference of Artemisinin content between high and middle fertilization levels is significant,so is between high and low fertilization levels.\While the difference between low and middle fertilization levels is not significant,the content of Artemisinin can't achieve significant difference among different densities.When fertilization level is high,under the density of 18000 plant/ha,the yield of Artemisinin is the highest.When fertilization level is low,under the density of 12000 plant/ha,the yield of Artemisinin is the lowest.The yield of Artemisinin achieves significant difference between high and middle fertilization levels,so does between high and low fertilization levels.But the yield of Artemisinin can't achieve significant difference between low and middle fertilization levels.The yield of Artemisinin achieves significant difference between the density of 12000 plant/ha and the other densities.The yield of Artemisinin can't achieve significant difference among other densities. When fertilization level is high,under the density of 30000 plant/ha,the yield of Artemisinin is the highest.When fertilization level is middle,under the density of 12000 plant/ha,the yield of Artemisinin is the lowest.
