By the methods of surgery operation and artificial infection, a path- ological model of endometritis were established in the female goat to in- vestigate the pathogenesis, which was based on observing the ill goat's ph- ysiological index ,bloody index, uterine secretions, ultrastructural and pathology changes of uterine wall .Twelve healthy female goats were divided into two groups, experimental group and control group. Cornua uteri cannulation and uterine vein cannu- lation were applied in the test. E.coli (O18, 5×109cfu)was infused into the cornua uteri by cornua uteri canula and then the same number with additional 5×109cfu were infused into uterus every three days until endometritis was detected. At the same time, stroke- physiological saline solution was infused into the uterus in the control group. Objective To explore the relationship among temperature (T),respiration (R),pulse (P),red blood cell(RBC),white blood cell(WBC) and differential white blood cell count (DC) in endometritis before and after experiment, there were significant improvement of T,R,P,WBC and neutrophil , while there were slight reduction of RBC and significant reduction of leukomonocyte. Compareing to the jugular veins blood, there was more WBC in the uterine veins blood and difference was also shown in the neutrophil and leukomonocyte. So, the general immunity participated in the recovery of uterus during the endometritis, but the uterine local immunity played an more important role in the course.Blood was collected by asepsis, and then live bacteria were isolated and counted. As a result, E. coli was detected from uterine veins blood on the fifth day after infusion. So, the E. coli just existed in the uterine veins blood for a short time, and septicaemia wasn't detected. The detection results of WBC and isolated live bacteria in the uterine secretion were that the initiation of endometritis has more bacteria than the later. As the number of phagocytic cell and other immunologic cell increased, which enhanced the power of swallowing up the bacteria, the purulent secretion increased while the number of bacteria decreasedThe ultrastructural and pathological changes of goat uterine wall were detected that there was significant trauma on the the uterus wall. It also had the following symptoms: the endothelial cells of endometrium were degenerated and necrosis; hemorrhage, congestion and edema could be found sometimes; the uterine wall was inflammatory cell infiltrated; the microvilli and cilia of endothelial cell sloughed more or less; the cell of uterine wall was degenerated and necrosis.
