Ril6 families were constructed deriving from the typical photoperiod sensitive inbreed line CML288 and the typical photoperiod non-sensitive inbreed line huangzao4.Genetic studies of characters related to photoperiod sensitivity and its relative traits were analyzed under the environments of long and short sunlight.And QTL analysis on 14 traits related with photoperiod sensitivity was carried out with complex interval mapping.The main results in this study were as follows:1.Under the environments of Zhengzhou and Sanya,the traits such as days to tassel,days to pollen,days to silk,plant height,ear height and leaves number in the RIL populations have significant differences,the frequency of most traits show continuous changes and normally distribution,so the ril6 population can be used to QTL analysis.2.Under the environments of Zhengzhou and Sanya,the mean value of all traits are near to the mean value of the parents in the RIL populations,the tremendous transgressive segregation for most traits was also observed in the RIL population.The correlation coefficients of traits between the two populations achieves extremely remarkable level.And the correlation coefficients in the temperate zone is bigger than that in the tropical zone.The variation scope of each investigated traits in the F6 recombinant inbred lines has the obvious expanding tendency compared that of F2:3.3.Two hundred and thirty-nine pairs SSR markers were selected to construct a genetic linkage map of ril6 with the genetic distance of 3111.1 cM(centimorgan)and on an average of 13.02 cM using Mapmaker 3.0.And the shortest genetic distance is 0.8cM.4.65 QTL were detected of 14 traits under the environments of Zhengzhou and Sanya,31 QTL controlling the related traits of photoperiod sensitivity were detected in zhengzhou,these QTL were on 1,2,3,4,9and 10 chromosomes respectively,and 17 of which is on chromosomes 10.20 QTL controlling the traits such as days to tassel,,days to pollen,days to silk,plant height and ear height were detected in sanya, these QTL were on 3,4,5,6,7,8,and 9 chromosomes respectively.14 QTL controlling the photoperiod sensitivity were detected,these QTL were on 3,7,9and 10 chromosomes respectively,and 10 QTL is on chromosomes 10. 5.Much QTL were detected on chromosomes 10 both in F6 populations and in F2:3 populations.And the QTL controlling the days to tassel in zhengzhou,days to tassel RD near the marker umc2163 on chromosomes 10 in two populations;the QTL controlling the days to silk in zhengzhou,days to tassel RD,days to silk RD were both detected near the marker umc1336 on chromosomes 10 in two populations.6.The QTL on chromosomes 10 were much more than that on the others,and these QTL were nearly between umc 1785 and umc 1873,bnlg 1712 and umc 1077,umc 1077 and umc2163,umc2163 and umc1053,ucm1053 and umc1402,and the most of the QTL controlling the traits related to the photoperiod sensitivity in zhengzhou and days to tassel RD,days to pollen RD,days to silk RD were between these markers,the value of LOD and the contribution of these QTL were big,so the gene controlling the photoperiod sensitivity maybe near these markers.
