This paper researched on the taxonomy and biological character of Ornamental treespests and the building of Ornamental trees pests control expert system.Totally 422 species of Ornamental trees pests were found in suzhou until now,belonging to 12 orders and 88 families (including 1 family of Latreille and 1 family ofMollusca), and containing 2 new species, 46 new species in Jiangsu province and 2 newspecies in China. Most of the species were distributed among 4 orders: 77 species ofHomoptera, 56 species of Coleoptera, 235 species of Lepidoptera,33 species ofHemiptera.Biological character of Dacus (Bactrocera) dorsalis (Hendel) was studied, includingsurname, host, damage, distribution and pictures of different stages and damage patterns.The recognition and control reference of mulberry pests were also provided, including itshosts, distribution, life cycle, biological characteristic. In order to suppress the populationdensity to a certain degree, several integrated control measures, such as chemical control,were proposed in the control practise.Based on the knowledge of field experts and the mature achievements of scientificresearches, a multimedia expert system for Ornamental trees pests control was developedby taking good use of Visual XF6.1. This system is composed of Data Base, KnowledgeBase, Picture Base and Interface. The major functions of the system are to diagnose, toconsult about Ornamental trees pests and to generate suggestions about pestmanagement. |
