To appraise the value of the dregs of bitter bean seed. The experiment study the effects of the dregs on immunity function in chickens.350 AA chickens being healthy and having even weight were randomly divided into 5 groups,70 for each group and set up the control group (Feed the fodder without the dregs of bitter bean seed). The others are test groups (The fodder including 1% to 4% the dregs of bitter bean seed was fed on the 1st to the 4th group from the 1st to the 42ed day ). Evry weekend the following targets were detected: The index of thymus, the index of spleen, the index of Bursa of Fabricius, the index of appendices tonsil. The number of T lymphocyte cell, B lymphocyte cell, macrophage, RBC and WBC in the blood. The percentage of the E-C3bRR and E-ICRR, the NDHI antibody in the serum. The area of the leaf of thymus, the splenic lymph sheath, the splenic node and Stannius follidle. The number of develop centre in appendices tonsil.The results show that:①On age of 7th, Bu-1a and E-C3bRR of the 1%; K-1 and RBC of 3%;E-C3 bRR of 4% are lower than control (P<0.05).②On age of 14th, CD4+T of the 2%; CD3+T, CD4+T, RBC and WBC are higher than control (P<0.05 or P<0.01).CD3+T, K-1, the area of splenic node and WBC are lower than control (P<0.05).③On age of 21st, the index of appendices tonsil of 3% is higher than control (P<0.05). NDHI antibody in the serum of 4% is lower than control (P<0.05).④On age of 28th, the index of Bursa of Fabricius and the area of Bursa of Fabriciusn of 3% are higher than control⑤One age of 35th, the index of appendices tonsil of 2%; the index of appendices tonsil, CD3+T,CD4+T and E-ICRR of 3% are higher than control (P<0.05 or P<0.01);E-C3bRR and E-ICRR of 4%are lower than control (P<0.05).⑥On age of 42ed, the index of spleen of 3% is higher than control (P<0.01); the NDHI antibody in the serum of 4% are lower than control (P<0.05). Conclusion: The dregs of bitter bean seed can improve the immunity function of the chickens.
