The Ecological Planning Of Green Area System Of Enshi City, Hubei Province

With the fast economic development in Enshi City, a series of ecologicalenvironment destruction caused by the rapid expansion of the city have become a factorlimiting the further development of the urban district and the further improvement ofliving standard in Enshi City. It is an urgent task to compile a scientific and sound citygreen area system planning.Since 1990's, the idea of"ecological garden" has increased people's awareness on thefunctions and effects of gardens, and improving city environment and maintainingecological balance of a city have become an important function of city green area. Theintegration of the theory and method of ecology and the planning of green area system ofa city could provide better guidance to the reasonable layout of city green areas, bring theecological functions of green area into full play, thus realizing such comprehensivefunctions as sightseeing and recreation, ecology, environment protection, culture,andeducation, etc.In light of the actual circumstances of green area system in Enshi urban area, and bycombining the theory and method of ecology with the characteristics of city green areasystem study, and on the basis of information collection and site investigation, the layoutof green area space and green area structure in Enshi urban area were analyzed andevaluated in the dissertation according to the classification of green area system in "TheClassification Standards for Green Area in Cities" and general principle of ecology. Withthe dual purposes of improving city ecological environment and satisfying the needs forsightseeing and recreation, the principle and indices of the ecological planning of greenarea system, structure layout of green area and greening design in urban area of Enshiwere studied. On the basis of the analytical results, the ecological planning of green areasystem in Enshi urban area was discussed.In actual planning, a green network ecological layout based on natural mountainsand water, park green areas and corridor green areas was constructed, mainly the settingof city parks, ecological corridors and protected green areas was investigated, an idea toconstruct sightseeing belt around the city based on natural mountain vegetations andcultural historic sites was put forward. In addition, in light of current status in Enshi City,resistance planning of green area tree species and suburban tree species planning in EnshiCity has also been attempted. The dissertation can provide theoretical guidance andplauning references for the planning of city green area system of Enshi City, and canprovide suggestions how to improve city constructions and living environment in EnshiCity.
