Pear scab forecast is a premise of its effective control. Currently, the main technique of the forecast applied in the practice of pear production is that the future occurrence trend is forecasted by experts' experience. Excessively relying on experts' experience results in poor real-time, low efficiency and hard situation to meet the production demand. Therefore, a scientific and effective forecast method and an integrated management system for pear scab is greatly significant in pear production.The study was in the support of Anhui Higer School natural science research program "A new forecasting method for Pear scab based on the integration of case-based reasoning and vitural instrument". Virtual instrument was combined with case-based reasoning technique in the research. The virtual instrument was used to develop an automatic acquisition system for pear orchard and the case-based reasoning was used to establish an automatically forecasting system for pear scab. Both systems were integrated into a whole, which realized real-time, remote and accurate forecast for future situation and occurance trend of pear scab. The research provided a new method and technique for the forecast for pear scab even fruit disease.The main contents and achievements were as follows.The research on data acquisition of pear orchard environment based on virtual instrument. Data acquisition system was made up of hardware and software. Hardware was made up of sensors (such as humility, temperature, light and rainfall etc), data acquisition module, serial port converter and computer etc. Software consisted of VISA, hardware driver and data acquisition program etc. Information from sensors distributed in pear orchard was acquired by serial port communication. Then the data were displayed and saved to database. Automatic acquisition and real-time monitoring for information of pear orchard environment were realized.The research on pear scab forecasting based on case-based reasoning (CBR). The data of pear scab in history year was collected and organized as case base and target case was formed by the data gained by data acquisition system. CBR was used to retrieve case-base and found the initial case which was the most similar to target case. Then the disease information in initial case was reused and the future disease occurrence trend was forecasted. In the process of case retrieve, similarity between initial case and target case was calculated with K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm. The weights of case properties could be artificially defined or automatically endowed by system with correlation analysis.The research on remote transfer and monitoring for pear orchard environment based on network. The information of pear orchard environment could be remotely transferred and shared with DataSocket and Remote Panel technique in LabVIEW, so real-time and remote monitoring for pear orchard environment came true.The research on integration of forecasting system for pear scab and data acquisition system for pear orchard environment. Both systems were developed in LabVIEW and they were integrated into a whole by database, which realized real-time monitoring for pear orchard environment and automatic forecast for Dangshansu pear scab.The test of system running. Multiple tests indicated that system was stable, reliable, easily operated, the interface was friendly and the result was well.
