115 tissue samples, which were collected from 13 different pig farms in Xinxiang area from October 2005 to August 2006,were detected for porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) by PCR.Clinical samples positive for PCV2 were also tested for porcine reproductive respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV), classical swine fever virus (CSFV), pig Parvovirus(PPV)and pseudorables virus(PRV).The results were as follows. The average PCV2 positive rates of samples and pig farms were 54.78%(63/115) and 61.54%(8/13), respectively. Samples and pig farms infected dually and multiply with PCV2 with PRRSV, CSFV, SIV and PRV accounted for 42.60%(49/115) and 53.85%(7/13), respectively. All these results showed that PCV2 infection and prevalence occured on pig farms in Xinxiang and the co-infection had enhanced the severity of PCV2 infection.
