Experiments were conducted to study Yunyan-85, K326, Yongding-1, G80, Then studied of the dynamic rules of petroleum ether extracts and polyphenol contents, through determined them in field and flue-cured stage. The purposes was to select one breed which was high aroma and suit to the soil and climate in our province. The results indicated that:The petroleum ether extracts were slowness and instability in earlier growth periods, then grew rapidly in the later periods, but dropped slightly in the last stages. The graph of petroleum ether extracts belonged to the double wave ridge graph in major by the flue-cured stage, and the wave ridge appeared mostly at 24 h and 84 h. The petroleum ether extracts increased at the initial stage and the fixing, but declined at the latter stage of yellowing and the drying period. The dynamic rules Of polyphenol compounds to the flue-cured tobacco leaves were similar to the petroleum ether extracts in the growth stage, the growth speed was slowly in the earlier period, but quickly in the later period. The contents of polyphenol compounds in the flue-cured stage changed as follows: it increased in the first 24 hours and dropped slightly in 24 h to 48 h, undulated in 48 h to 72 h, elevated after 72 hours and went on until the end.The differences of petroleum ether extracts and Polyphenol compounds among variety, were further researched by mathematical statistic methods. The results were: Significant differences occurred to the four flue-cured tobacco varieties both in petroleum ether extracts and Polyphenol compounds, but variety of K326 was higher then the else, it also had high sensory quality, so could be extend in production practice.
