Groundsill pressing technology was Applied to water-saving irrigation on arenaceous paddy field, From contrasting experiment between the pressed area and traditional area, the effects to water using of rice, growth developments, output and soil environments would be studied with comprehensive analysis of the experiment results, then search the mechanism of water-saving and high-yielding. The theory foundation was laid from the results of the study for spreading this technology with the academic supporting. The progresses of the study are as follows:Water-saving impacts: During the rice growth period, the amount of irrigating water is 9722.9 m/hm in the pressed area, compared with traditional irrigation, 12814.4 m/hm, It can save irrigation water about 24.1%. at the same time, the separate amount of wasting water is 11474.7 m/hm and 15904.49 m/hm, this can save about 27.9%.Growth conditions: The average spikes quantity and rate are uniform of every basic seedling, but the effective proliferation rate in pressed area is higher than the traditional area, and the average spike length, the average stalk wide are also bigger than the traditional area; but the trunk in pressed area is generally lower relative to the traditional area. The stalk shape in pressed area is in favor of enhancing its ability against falling down, in favor of nutrient assimilating, and accelerating the rice grain growth. Soil pressing have some promoting effects to rice physiology and zoology and no bad infections.Roots developing and activity: The amount of white roots and yellow roots and the average gross roots are more in the pressed area compared to the traditional area. It shows the pressed soils have the ability of water and fertilizer keeping, which is in favor of the roots developing. The roots activity in pressed area is also better than the traditional area.Soil physics index: In the pressed area, the soil density was increased, the rate of containing water and the soil coefficient of infiltration were reduced, that shows the pressing effect is distinctly.Soil environments: The soil environments in two districts are all favorable. Pressing has no evident influence on soil environments. The microbe amounts in rice groundwork have no tarnal distinct difference, some separate indistinctive difference was likely to be arosed owing to the difference of the rate of containing water in the soil samples.Rice yield and the water use efficiency: The average harvest yield and theoretic yield in the pressed area can reach 9542.1kg/hm and 10424.0kg/hm respectively. And the yield in the traditional area is 8667.1 kg/hm and 9825.5 kg/hm respectively, The yield increase ratio compared to traditional area is 10.1%, 7.5% respectively. The water use efficiency is 0.98kg/m and 0.68kg/m respectively, increased 44% compared to traditional area。...
