Ferulae mushroom is a kind of rare saprophytic edible fungus that depends on the asafoetida, a medical plant which grows on the desert. Reaserches showed that ferulae mushroom was nutritive, healthy and officinal. And it is rich in protein, fat and carbohydrate etc. It can prevent and cure cardiovascular disease, gynecological diseases, rickets and cancer etc. The appropriate temperature range for the mycelium growth of ferulae mushroom is from 25°C to 28°C, but when the temperature reaches 35°C, the mycelium will not grow. This research was based on high-temperature resistant mutant A0501 chosen through being implanted by ion beam. The mutant A0501 was disassociated from the organization and cultured, and whether the property of resisting high temperature is steady or not was analysed. And the fermentation medium and some other factors of the mutant A0501 were optimized. At the same time, by determining the activity of the extracellular enzymes of the strains A0501 and Ack, the optimum temperature and pH were ascertained. Compared with those of the strain Ack, the changes of the optimum temperature and pH of the mutant A0501 were analysed.
