Purpureus is the varitey form of Cotinus var. cinerea Engi. et Wils Cotinus coggygriagenera of Anacardiaceae. In this paper, the extraction of red pigment from Purpureus andits physicochemical properties and stability have been studied. Pigment change, protectionenzymes activity, Isozyme Analysis and other index about resistance was also detectedwhich leaves of Purpureus after spraying K2SO4. The main results are as follows:1. The optimum extraction conditions of crude anthocyanins from Purpureus wasestablished with 0.1%HCL,which is under the condition of 31℃(constant temperature)andshading.2. The heat-resistant and the acid-resistant of this pigment is better than others.This redpigment belongs to Anthocyanin; the ability of antioxidation is feeble,and the Fe3+ maycause the abnormality of the pigment.3. Determine the dynamic change of the pigments in the leaves and the results indicatethat in spring and autumn, the content of anthocyanin is higher and at this time the effect ofviewing and admiring is better. On the other hand in summer the anthocyanin concent isrelatively lower.4. Spraying K2SO4 can improve the content of the anthocyanin, which can improve theanthocyanin content 60%~80%. Leaves will appear damaged by salt when K2SO4 reaches3.0g/L.5. When the concentration of K2SO4 was 1.0g/L, changes of chlorophyll content isdeparture curve of CK obviously, and the content of carotenoids decreased.6. The trend of variation in the content of SOD had no synchrony to the trend ofvariation in POD activities.When the concentration of K2SO4 was 3.0g/L, the activities oftreated leaves arrived its top,and it reached the highest level in from June toSeptember. POD had two bands in pattems of the isoenzyme.Among the treatments,therewas difference in the color of enzymatic band, but had no significant difference in bands ofenzymatic.K element showed an important influence on the enzyme activity, however, hadno effect on the basic structure of isoenzyme.7. The content of MDA in the leaf is with K element treatments is more than that in the controle and the maximum lever was presented earlier than that in standard medium.Thedamage-level of leaf was higher than that of the control group.Under the treatment of Kelement, the main effect on the peak of the soluble protein in the leaf is the increase of thepeak of soluble protein content.When the concentration of K2SO4 was 1.0g/L, the contentsof protein was relatively higher.
