The experiment was conducted on calcarecus cinnamon soil of Shanxi Province using the orthogonal design of five factors five levels. Under the condition of field experiment combined application of organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer and trace element fertilizer to pigment peppers was studied for its effect on the configuration indexes, nutrient absorption, yield and quality. The results could be concluded as follows: 1. Combined application of organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer and trace element fertilizer in proper ratio significantly improved the configuration of the plant body, increased the thick of stem and the area of leaf. All of these provided some base to the high-yield and good-quality of pigment peppers. 2. Combined application of organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer and trace element fertilizer in proper ratio grandly increased the yield of pigment peppers, The proper ratio of each of fertilizers were followed: Organic fertilizer 25020kg/hm~2; superphosphate 900kg/ hm~2; potassium sulfate 390kg/ hm~2; zinc sulfate30kg/ hm~2; borax 6kg/ hm~2. 3. The proper combined application of organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer and trace element fertilizer enhanced the edibility proportion of pigment pepper, the ash content, the dissolvable sugar content, phosphorus content, potassium content, zinc content of the pepper husk highly. The nutrition quality of pigment pepper was improved obviously. 4. The proper combined application of organic fertilizer, inorganic fertilizer and trace element fertilizer enhanced the ability of coloration of the pepper pigment, grandly improved the sensory quality of pigment pepper. All of these enhanced the commodity value and edibility value, increased the gross export. The quantity of fertilizer of pigment pepper in best level of coloration was Organic fertilizer 16680kg/ hm~2; superphosphate 900kg/ hm~2; potassium sulfate 510kg/ hm~2; zinc sulfate15kg/ hm~2; borax 15kg/ hm~2. 5.
