Based on water balance method and nature/water conservancy conditions in well irrigation area of TuMoChuan, water requirement pattern and irrigate regime of sugar beet and the prediction for its water requirement during growth period were studied from the point that water saving irrigation and increase of the yield and quality.The results showed that the water requirement in phyllome luxuriant growth period was the most (146.5 m~3/667m~2, 41% percent of whole growth period ), water requirement intensity was big (3.06m~3/667m~2/d); in tuberous sugar increasing period was second (96.3m~3/667m~2, 27% percent of whole growth period duration), but water requirement intensity was the most (3.11 m~3/667m~2/d); in sugar accumulation period was the third (59.6 m~3/667m~2, 17% percent of whole growth period ), water requirement intensity was less (1.62m~3/667m~2/d); in seedling period was the least (54.7m~3/667m~2, 15% percent of whole growth period), water requirement intensity was also the least (1.09m~3/667m~2/d).Irrigate regime of sugar beet in the typical annual was: water requirement was 324m~3/667m~2 in special dry year (P=95%, effective rainfall<160mm in growth period), 217m~3/667m~2 water needs to be irrigated (follows 4 times) in growth period, 60m~3/667m~2 per time during 1-3 times (25th June, 10th July, 25th July respectively), 40m~3/667m~2 at last time (10th Aug); 217m~3/667m~2 water needs to be irrigated (follows 3 times) in growth period in dry year (P=75%, effective rainfall=260mm in growth period), 55m~3/667m~2 per time during 1-2 times (25th June, 10th July respectively), 40m~3/667m~2 at last time (25th July); 60m~3/667m~2 water needs to be irrigated (follows 1 time) in growth period in average year (P=50%, effective rainfall=340mm in growth period), its irrigating time range from 25th June to 25th July; in humidity year (P=25%) the effective rainfall was 433mm, which can meet the need of sugar beet growth, no irrigation needed.Establishment of superior irrigation pattern of sugar beet will good for the practice of sugar beet production and quantitative studies of agriculture science. |
