Investigation And Prevention And Cure To Trichinosis In Swine In Liuzhou City, Guangxi

We used three methods (visual inspection of compressed pieces of muscle for presenceof larvae in situ, pooled sample method, the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) to test10191 serum and the feet of diaphragm from two county and suburb of Liuzhou city. Theinfected rate to trichinosis in swine is: the positive rate of visual inspection of compressedpieces of muscle for presence of larvae in situ is 0%, the positive rate of pooled samplemethod is 0.09%, the positive rate of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay is 2.99%.There are twelve villages are serious infected (the positive rate of the enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay surpass 20%).We used a lot of measures to prevent and cure the trichinosis. Such as drug, swarmprevent and cure, propagandism and education, train the person who quarantine, strengthenquarantine and kill the rat.After prevention and cure measures, we test 10038 serum and the feet of diaphragmagain. The result is: the positive rate of visual inspection of compressed pieces of musclefor presence of larvae in situ is 0%, the positive rate of pooled sample method is 0%, thepositive rate of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay is 0.93%. The positive rate oftwelve villages (the positive rate of the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay surpass 20%)is dropped from 26.80% to 4.02%.We are successful in reducing the infected rate of trichinosis in swine, the positive rateof pooled sample method is from 0.09% to 0%, the positive rate of the enzyme-linkedimmunosorbent assay is from 2.99% to 0.93%. It reduce the danger to infect to people.
