Abstract/Summary:
Forest resources are the material foundation of forestry production and sustainable development. Controlling the basic condition of forest resources is the basis of realizing scientific and effective management of the forestry resources. To the example of the calendar-year-test data of Wangqing Forestry Bureau in Jilin province, this thesis contributes to the research and development of ArcIMS-based lightweight forestry survey information sharing system. Forest resources information management system realizes the input management, inquiries, statistic and dynamic updating of regional forest resources through Internet, and well satisfies the user requirements of sharing the forest resources information.The lightweight forestry survey information sharing system is based on WebGIS platform, and uses lightweight framework combination: struts + Spring Hibernate, which also used in the research and development of Forestry-WebMIS (Web-based Forestry survey information management system). Meanwhile, the system also employs Ajax to construct more dynamic and sensitive web applications. The combination between three frameworks and Ajax lets J2EE development has better scalability and maintainability; can fully play their respective advantages, and realizes the LCN of Web-MIS development and good user experience. Therefore, this system has very good prospect.After analyzed the weakness on data sharing, transmission, and security of traditional-technology-based WebGIS, the thesis points that Ajax and Java technologies are efficient methods to solve above problems. It also gives a new WebGIS architecture by integrating Struts. And the new forestry management WebGIS system, based on the new architecture and ArcMIS platform, has been developed.According to the features of forestry survey information, this lightweight forestry survey information sharing system integrates forestry survey information and WebGIS system. It well integrates the special data management and analysis in GIS and MIS; realizes auto-recording and processing of forestry survey information; produces user-required electronic statements and thematic maps; supplies accurate, timely, full-scale information and basis for survey information managementand decision system; and improves efficiency of the whole system. On the other side, the lightweight forestry survey information sharing system realizes the forestry information release and sharing functions since it is designed as a kind of open, distributed, internet-based application platform considering the regional and widely distributed features of forestry survey information.
