Based on cold climate in summer seasons and good natural resources of agriculture andlivestock in Yunchang county, key techniques of off-season on Agaricus Bisporus wassummarized through experiments on varieties selection and culture medium prescriptionand suitable cultivation measures. Results show that when the medium is already in springand mushroom grows in summer with 5 months growing season, 4 months shorter overtraditional method. Yield of mushroom is over 10 kg m-2 and ratio of output to input is 5:1,indicating significant economic return. More importantly, selected new varieties of Shuang13 and Shuang 7 with vigorous hyphae and high quality yield 10.72 and 10.35 kg m-2.Underground geosyncline and greenhouse combining with artificial adjustment makesmaximum temperature on mushroom growing below 21℃, which is high limit oftemperature for Agaricus Bisporus. Especially, off-season cultivation of Agaricus Bisporusis not affected by summer climate after applying the underground geosyncline with lowconstruction cost and high output and benefits. To solve culture medium, local sheep manure and straw is used according to rational ration and ferment procedures to producegood quality compost. Major quota includes dry wheat straw, dry sheep manure, superphosphate, gypsum, lime, and urea at rates of 1750, 1750, 70, 70,40,17.5 kg if thecultivation area is 111 m-2, in addition, suitable amount of water is added. With thismedium, mushroom yield is up to 10 kg m-2. Demonstration and extension for thistechnique emphasize on farmers' active participation when experiment is ongoing.Technology service teams and training classes are developed in Yunchang county to set updemonstration garden on off-season cultivation; in Xihe town, good varieties reproductionand propaganda systems are established to transfer further the technique in order to makingeconomic benefit maximum.
