Cutting is the pivotal process in sugarcane harvesting procedure and the cutter is the main working parts. The cutter's cutting performance has a badly effect on sugarcane harvester's working performance and it's popularized application. So it is essential for us to do an in-depth experiment study on affecting factors which are related to the rate of broken biennial root of the single base cutter to find main factors affecting the rate of broken biennial root, to study cutting mechanism of the rate of broken biennial root, to choose preferable working parameters. These studies which has important theoretical significances and practical values will supply some theoretical basis on cutter structural design of sugarcane harvester. In this dissertation, using compositive test-bed experiment and adapting quadratic regression orthogonal rotatable design, an indoor physical simulation experiment study on the relation between the affecting factors including ground vibration factors(frequency , swing ) caused by accidented ground and cutter's structural factors(knife-edge angle of blade, cutting angle of blade, obliquity of disc cutter, number of blade) and the rate of broken biennial root sugarcane under two different experiment situations which include hard soil and soft soil.
