| Silk reed is a kind of good wild herbage for water and soil conservation, and it has been used in re-vegetation and eco-restoration recently years at Shenzhen. But the function and potential value of silk reed has not been totally realized yet in slope eco-engineering. In this thesis, silk reed established with hydro-seeding technique in different slopes from 1997 to 2004 was studied about its main function and contribution in re-vegetation. Most community indexes and botany indexes were statistically analyzed. One factor analysis of variance was used to estimate time effect on tiller numbers. The results indicated that there is non-significant difference at'a = 0.05'significance level, viz. there isn't obvious difference between tiller numbers of silk reeds which have been planted for different years (1-8a). Two factors analysis of variance is applied to compare time effect of establishment and sampling on aboveground biomass at'a = 0.05'significance level. The results suggested that the effect of different establishment time was obvious, and the effect of dissimilar sampling time was nonsignificant. Silk reed community achieves max biomass, which is 2129.5g/m2 in average, after being established for three years. The system of'quality estimation of vegetation restoration'was established to get the synthetic value of vegetation restoration in soil and water conservation. The result of restoration is satisfying with S = 0.661.The results suggested that silk reed is an excellent herbage to recover and reestablish vegetation which has been destroyed for natural or factitious reasons. In the first and second years, silk reed is the'pioneer'and preponderant plant in slope. From the third year, new plants began to invade in succession and the structure of vegetation in slope was changed. Silk reed wasn't the only one that appeared in slope, but it was still the predominant one. The main contribution of silk reed in... |
