In hot season, the growth performance of animals will decline. How to alleviate the adverse effects on the growth performance of animals becomes the important subject for animal husbandman..Based on the previous studies on effects of high temperature on metabolism of animals, in this experiment, the nutritive regulating agents for pigs were developed according to the nutritive metabolic character of finishing pigs. And the action mechanism and applicative effects of nutritive regulating agents were studied by investigating the productive performance, blood biochemical parameters and meat quality. In this study,48 healthy, weighting about 60Kg, three-way crossbred (Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire) finishing pigs were divided into 3 groups randomly. The first and second groups were used as experimental groups and fed with basal diets supplementing 0.5% nutritive regulating agents A and B respectively, but the salt of basal diet of the second group was decreased to 0.2%.The control group was fed with basal diet of without nutritive regulating agent. The formal experiment lasted 54 days (from Jul.15,2004 to Sep.6,2004).The testing pigpen of slatted floor was sealed.During the experimental period, the extreme temperature of pigpen was 22℃~39℃,and the average temperature was 29.64℃,the extreme relative humidity was 59.1%~90.3%,and the average was 71.55%.The experimental pigs were raised in conventional method. In the whole experiment, observing the porcine behavior, body condition and healthy state, measuring growth performance, feed conversion ratio(FCR),nutrient digestible coefficient, blood biochemical parameters and meat quality etc, were done. The experimental results were showed as follow:(1)by using nutritive regulating agents, the back-hair of the two experimental group pigs was rather more polisher than control group, and the animal body temperature was more stable.(2)the digestible coefficients of CF,Ash,Ca and P of experimental group1 was higher than the control group (P<0.05);the digestible coefficients of CF and P of experimental group 2 was higher than the control group (P<0.05); and the digestible coefficients of the EE,CP,NFE, DM of experiment group 1,2 were higher than the control group, but there were no significant differences(P<0.05).(3)The nutritive regulating agent A highly markedly promoted growth of pigs (P<0.01),but the nutritive regulating agent B had no significant effect on growth of pigs (P>0.05).The FCR of experimental groups were markedly higher than the control group (P<0.05);the FCR of group1 was higher than group2 (P<0.05). (4) There was no significant difference in GLU concentrations in serum among all groups (P>0.05).The finishing pigs of experiment group 1 showed higher level TP in serum than other groups (P<0.05);TP level in serum of experiment group 2 was higher than that of the control group, but there was no significant difference(P<0.05).The serum urea nitrogen concentration of each experimental group was not significant different from that of control group (P>0.05).There were also no significant differences in Ca ,P, K concentrations in serum among all the groups (P>0.05);but the Na concentration in serum of the experimental group2 was lower than the others (P<0.05).The finishing pigs fed the diet with the nutritive regulating agents showed lower glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase(GOT) activity in serum than the control group(P<0.05).The glutamic pyruvic transaminase(GPT) activity in serum of group1 was markedly lower than the others. The IgG in serum of group1 was markedly higher than the other two groups (P<0.05).And that of group2 was also higher than the control group , but there was no significant difference (P>0.05). (5)There were no significant differences in back-fat thickness and pH among all groups (P>0.05).The calcium, phosphorus and fat in the muscle of group1 were higher than group2 and control group (P<0.05);and those of group2 were also higher than the control group ,but there were no significant differences (P>0.05).According to those results we can conclude:The pigs were suffered serious heat stress in hot seasons. The nutritive regulating agents have active effects to the health and metabolism of swine, can increase nutrient digestible coefficients and FCR,promote growth of pigs, and improve the meat quality, especially the nutritive value of meat.We can educe that the nutritive regulating agent A is better than B.
