Quality protein maize(QPM) is a sort of nutrition balanced maize.It can be used as foodstuff and feedingstuff. The protein nutrition value correspond as 90 percent of creamery. It can increase the using value 15~30 percent of maize.It can not only improve bear capability of fowls and demestic animals,but also reduce the nitrogen from dejection of animals.It can improve the people's economy and living livel for developing QPM widely in our country.But the troop of engaging in QPM breeding is so poor,and the choiceness QPM lines is lack,and the variety's compete capability is feebleness,today.Using backcross breeding can rear QPM near isogenic lines(NILs) from the normal lines.It is a efficient method.It can using the research experience in normal maize and the pertinence strong. So this method can improve the QPM breeding level in a short time.The study traced the opaque-2(o2) gene by SSR marker in three backcross colonies that established between the choiceness nomal lines(Zheng58 and Ye478 and Chang7-2) and the QPM lines(CA339 and CA042). And we had reared the QPM NILs through 7 recurrent backcross. We studied the QPM NILs in succession,suming up the variety disciplinarian for endosperm frame and liter weight btween normal and QPM NILs, and making near isogenic hybrids using QPM NILs. The study eualuated the value in ues of QPM NILs through analying the near isogenic hybrids. The results were as follows:1.The marker umc1066 was the only one that could distinguish the three recurrent populations parents(Zheng58 and CA339,Chang7-2 and CA042,Ye478 and CA042) at the same time. So we fixed umc1006 tracing the o2 gene in the three recurrent populations. And we reared the QPM NILs QZ58 and Q478 and QC72 from Zheng58 and Ye478 and Chang7-2 successfully.2.
