Throungh injecting with E. coli lipopolysaccharide (LPS) on piglets, to establish immunological stress model the effects of Achyranthis bidentatae polysaccharides (ABP) on growth performance, immune function and intestinal function was studied, to discussion the mechanism that ABP can ease growth inhibition under the stress, resist stress and intestinal immune injury.180 healthy 24±1 day old piglets (Duroc×Landrace×Large White, body weight 7.94±0.27 kg) were selected and randomly assigned into five treatments (control group, LPS control group,0.05% ABP group,0.1% ABP group,0.15 %ABP group). control groupⅠand LPS control groupⅡwere fed the basal diet, experimental groupⅢfed a basal diet with 0.05% ABP, experimental groupⅣfed a basal diet with 0.10% ABP, the experimental groupⅤfed a basal diet with 0.15% ABP. Each treatment was 6 replicates and each replicate 6 piglets. Free feeding and drinking, the formal trial period 28d. on the 10th and 16th day the control groupⅡand the exerimental groups, were respectively injected 80μg/kg·BW of lipopolysaccharide (LPS), the control groupⅠinjected the same dose of normal saline. The formal testing daily feed intake of everyday were recorded and the body weights was weighted on the morning of the 1st,10th,17th,28th d, average daily gain (ADG), average daily feed intake(ADFI) and the ratio of feed to gain (F/G) were calculated. On the 16th day, injected LPS and physiological saline, after 2h all piglet according to 1ml/kg·BW were irrigated 10% D-xylose solution. After 1h takeblood from precaval vein. On the morning of the 28th day Takeblood after hollow weighing. leuk ocytes classification counting, prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), cortisol (COR), growth hormone (GH). Enzyme-linked immunosorbent determinated a-acyl glycoprotein (a-AGP),TNF-α, IL-1, IL-2, IL-6, IL-10,the D-xylose content, Glutamine concentration, DAO activity was determinated. The results of Statistical analysis as follows:that dietary with ABP Significantly improved average daily gain (ADG) (P<0.05), significantly reduced the ratio of feed to gain (F/G) (P<0.05) and could alleviate LPS stress lead to growth performance lower, and the dietary with 0.1% ABP was best. And after twice LPS challenge the secretion of prostaglandin E2 (P<0.05), cortisol (P<0.05), acidic glycoprotein (P<0.05), tumor necrosis factor (P<0.05), interleukin-1 (P<0.05), interleukin-2 (P< 0.05), interleukin-6 (P<0.05),DAO activity (P< 0.05)increased and Glutamine concentration(P<0.05), plasma D-xylose concentration (P< 0.05) lowered. The diet with 0.1% could reduce the secretion of polysaccharide prostaglandin E2, cortisol, acidic glycoprotein, tumor necrosis factor and relieve LPS challenge caused weaning piglets changes in the immune system. And improve Glutamine concentration, (P<0.05), plasma D-xylose concentration (P<0.05)and lower DAO activity (P<0.05) after LPS challenge to relieve piglets intestinal the damage of structure and function. The results indicate that ABP can ease growth inhibition under LPS challenge.,resist stress and intestinal immune injury.
