The Value Assessment On The Forest Ecosystem Services Function In Manas River Basin

As the main part of terrestrial ecosystems, Forest play an importmant role in the global ecosystem, so the quantitative research of the forest ecosystem services is the focus of the ecosystem research. This thesis analysis the forest ecosystem services of Manas River in eco-ecological methods. Moreover, a quantitative analysis about ecosystem services of Manas River has been included. By analyzing and computing the dynamic variation values of various properties of the forests in Manas River, the fact that great welfare has been brought by ecosystem is clearly showed to publics.Thus,it helps publics to accelerate the process of forest, supplys some foundation for start ecological reform and ecological compensate in Manas River. Meanwhile, it can aware people's of importance of protecting ecological circumstance, improves their aware of enviromental protection.Here are the main conclusions of this thesis:(1)The forest ecosystem services function of Manas River brings enormous values to human, first from proviode Lin-product and travel vaule bring direct welfare to people, meanwhile it also has many effects to coastal area such as water holding,water quality of purification,soil conversation,carbon sequestration spit oxygen,air purification and protecting insert hazard.(2)According to computing, the total value of the service functions of forests ecosystem of Manas River is: 32.85 billion Yuan in 1976, 31.95 billion Yuan in 1987, 33.44 billion Yuan in 1998, 33.72 billion Yuan in 2006. The total trendency is ascend, a little bit fluctuate in period. This because according to the material Manas River's forest cut strength to exceed 44.5% in 20 century 70s. From State Department issue"[1980]108document",cut strength became to fall, artifical forest become more, forest area has to keep stable.epecailly the country has to carry out"Tian Bao"programe from 1997, because has financial subsidy, cut strength has decrease quickly, natural forest's update strength also accelerate, the uncultivated had update.(3)According to the statistic we can analyse that, the indirect value is greater than direct value of the forest ecosystem services in Manas River. For example , the direct value of the forest ecosystem services in Manas River is 4.35 billon Yuan in 2006,only take percentage as less as 12.89%. The indirect value is 29.37 billion Yuan, which is 6.75 times more than direct value. It is demonstrated that the main value of forests ecosystem in Manas River is its indirect value which is known as the value of life-sustain system. (4) The indirect value of forest ecosystem services in Manas river is main embody water holding(36.982%),carbon sequestration spit oxygen(29.15%) and air purification(15.251%), this three functions'value take percentage two-thirds of indirect value of forest ecosystem services in Manas river.
