This article selects the fragile ecological environment and with many the forestry project DuoLun country as the research object, with the RS and GIS technology support, according to TM and MODIS remote sensing images, combined the field investigations, and various statistics and data, through remote software access the land use type of chart and vegetation coverage map in 2000, 2005 and 2009, with the ecosystem services value theory, combined with rational structure of ecological environment, ecological environment quality, from land use pattern change, the landscape pattern change and vegetation coverage change etc, evaluated the forestry project implementation of the ecological benefits. The main research results are as follows:(1)Through the land use pattern change analysis, showed complex changes happened between various land use types in nearly 10 years, land use type pattern of space landscape has changed significantly, too. The cultivated land and unused land converted to shrub and grass greatly. This basically is the aim to reduce soil erosion and improve the ecological environment, carried out measures such as sand origin control, reduce farmland, planting, closing hillsides to livestock grazing, which made forest area and grass coverage increases, which shows increase of forestry project has made significant achievements in DuoLun country. Woodland and grassland transform each other, but the proportion of grass transform to woodland was higher than the proportion of woodland transform to grass, at the same time, showed ecological environmental quality improve significantly. Waters and construction land area is relatively stable; the waters area increased slightly, which explained the ecological environment got a benign development. Construction land in space variation is mainly the expansion of the habitation. Along with the development of regional economy and urbanization, construction land of towns and rural residents expands; the main is the county expansion.(2)From 2000 to 2009, the land use types varied significantly in DuoLun country.Compared with the year 2000,area of grassland unused land decreased,forestry area increased,area of grassland and forestland area took the 82.52%,unused land accounted for only to 0.82%,main landscape type has converted to the grass and the forest land;the landscape diversity index rose from 1.36 to 1.15,its landscape heterogeneity is high,improve slightly higher.The whole ecosystem landscape components tends to rationalize,landscape type diversification,make ecological environment protected and restored effectively, promoted the ecological coordinated development.(3)The research area average vegetation coverage is ascendant, increased from 29.51% of 2000 to 35.89% of 2009. But the law was increase first and reduce second, to reduce the average vegetation coverage of 2000 was lowest, increased to the highest 37.49% in 2005, the average vegetation coverage decrease slightly in 2009, the main cause of it was the reduce of rainfall(4)The total ecological index rose from 0.1055 of 2000 to 0.1778 of 2009, ecological environment index increased significantly the increase scale was 68.47%, which explained forestry project brought good ecological benefits, with high ecological value of vegetation types such as forestland increased significantly, thus make integral ecological index increased, the ecological environmental quality got great improvement of the county.
