| Veterinary drugs play a positive role in animal disease control, healthy development of animal husbandry and improvement of people's living standard. They also have a promoting effect on energy saving and low-carbon development. The use of qualified veterinary drugs can maximize the beneficial effects on prevention, treatment or diagnosis of animal diseases, ensure animal health, and promote the healthy development of animal husbandry. On the other hand, the use of substandard veterinary drugs will not only cause different degrees of harm to animals, consumers taking foods of animal origin, but also endanger the personnel in contact with veterinary drugs and the environment. The use of substandard veterinary drugs will become the hidden danger to the healthy development of animal husbandry, the quality and safety of animal products and human health. Therefore, studying the discipline of the quality of veterinary drugs from production processes, business links and use process is of important research value for healthy development of animal husbandry.In order to truly master the quality information of veterinary drugs in Tianjin, this project obtained the veterinary drug samples from production processes, business links and use process in Tianjin during the years 2008-2010 and performed quality inspection of these veterinary drug samples. Sampling inspections on about 400 batches of veterinary drugs were made per year divided into four seasons among all the veterinary drugs manufacturing enterprises in Tianjin, partial business enterprises, veterinary stations, large-scale breeding farms and pet hospitals in every districts or counties. The quality inspection of taken samples was made according to the quality standard of each drug in testing laboratory. By means of sampling inspection and quality data analysis of veterinary drugs in the past three years, it was found that the quality level of veterinary drugs in Tianjin was increasing fast.It was increased from the lower level of 76.7% pass rate in 2008 to the higher one of 89.7% in 2010.On the behind of the increasing quality continuously, it still exposes some problems from the development of veterinary drugs industry also.The current situation of quality of veterinary drugs in Tianjin was clarified and the main reason affecting the quality of veterinary drugs was found out. Some proposals for improvement of the quality of veterinary drugs and promotion of healthy development of veterinary industry in Tianjin were offered based on the research and analysis of current situation of quality of foreign veterinary drugs, domestic veterinary industry and quality control of veterinary drugs. In the meantime, this study can also put forward the data support for effective quality supervision implemented by supervision department of veterinary drugs in Tianjin. |
