Effects Of Container Sizes And Media Mixture Ratios On Qualities Of Container Seedlings Of Quercus Variabilis

Quercus can be used in afforestation.This paper is study on the effects of container sizes and media mixture ratios on Quercus seedlings'growth.Using peat,vermiculite and soil in the ratio of different proportions and with different size containers to planting seedlings.This experiment designed by two-factor randomized block method,using Excel,SPSS and other analysis softwares to make analysis.By analyzing the differences between seedlings in different container specifications and media mixture ratios,exploring the relations and choosing the best combination type.The results showed that:First, Media mixture ratios played a significant role in the growth of Quercus than container sizes; Second, Seedlings of container seedling quality evaluation can be grouped into three important aspects:the ability of nutrient accumulation of seedlings robust degree and resistance. Evaluation of container seedling quality indicators:height, diameter, height to diameter ratio, stem root ratio, root fresh weight, net photosynthetic rate, water use efficiency;Third,Seedlings grown well in 10cm×20cm size polyethylene plastic containers with 60%peat+40%vermiculite (ie, peat: vermiculite= 3:2) the conditions most suitable for container seedlings of Quercus cultivation. In order to save cost and ease of production, can also be applied in the production of peat 16.65%+66.7%+16.65%vermiculite nursery soil (peat:vermiculite= 1:1), or 19.98%of the peat+13.32%+66.7%vermiculite nursery soil (peat:vermiculite = 3:2) as the training medium; Fourth,Analysis of nutrition of Quercus shows that the total P and K consumption are less and have little impact on the seedlings, total N consumption changed while the nutritional content of cork oak seeds increasing or decreasing,and play an important role in seedlings growth.
