The experiment was conducted from 2009 to 2011 in the fruit roots laboratory of college of horticultural science and engineering, shandong agricultural university, state key laboratory of crop biology and the apple orchard of country hongmiao of suburban district of Tai'an city of Shandong province. An apple rootstock, Malus hupehensis Rehd. was chosen as the experimental materials, potted with replant soil. Effects of equivalent fermentative liquid and compost on the biomass, roots and leaves of Malus hupehensis seedlings and microbial indicators of the soil was studied. The main results are as follows:1. Organic Materials with two modalities were all significantly enhanced the biomass of Malus hupehensis Seedlings. Plant height, stem diameter close to ground, fresh weight above ground, and dry weight above ground, leaves area, length of roots , superficial area of roots , number of root tips and roots activity with fermentative liquid were all higher than that with compost. Fresh weight of roots with fermentative liquid were higher than that with compost in prophase; the conclusion is just the opposite in September.2. The net photosynthesis rate of leaves with compost were higher than that with fermentative liquid In July, and which was higher than that with compost in August. The chlorophyll content in leaves, chlorophyll fluorescence parameters Fv/Fo, chlorophyll fluorescence parameters Fv/Fm, chlorophyll fluorescence parametersΦPSⅡwith fermentative liquid were higher than that with compost. The chlorophyll content in leaves, chlorophyll fluorescence parameters Fv/Fm, chlorophyll fluorescence parametersΦPSⅡwith fermentative liquid Sometimes were higher than that with Normal cropping, and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters Fv/Fo was normal level.3. when organic materials with two modalities were added to replant soil, urease activity, invertase activity, phosphatase activity all appeared increased. Urease activity, invertase activity, phosphatase activities with fermentative liquid were higher than compost. 4. when organic materials with two modalities were added to replant soil, microorganisms quantity appeared great change, and bacteria quantity, fungi quantity and actinobacteria quantity from replant soil all increased. Bacteria quantity with fermentative liquid were higher than compost. Fungi quantity and actinobacteria quantity with fermentative liquid were higher than compost during the stage of prophase, and which with compost were higher than fermentative liquid during the stage of anaphase.5. when fermentative liquid and compost were added to replant soil, SOD,POD and CAT activities of roots of Malus hupehensis seedlings all appeared to increased. SOD,POD and CAT activities with fermentative liquid were higher than compost from the perspective of the trend overall . MDA content of two kinds of processing all reduced, and which with compost were lower than fermentative liquid.
