The experiments of different fertilizing were conducted in Hengyang to investigate the influences of different nutrients proportion and different topdressing and basal ratio on tobacco growth and development, dry matter production and leaf yield, output value and chemical quality. The main results are as follows:1. There was no effect on tobacco growth under the nitrogen application rate of 120~165 kg/hm2, growth period of each treatment was 109 d; The plant height was increasing with the nitrogen application rate, but little effect of N:P:K ratio on plant height and stem diameter. The treatments with the N application rate of 142.5 kg/hm2 were benefit for growth, nutrients absorption and yellowing in late growth peoriod. But the treatment with NPK ratio of 1:1:3 was not good for leaf yellowing because of N absorption in the late growth period. There were effects of different treatments on the output value, of which, higher in treatment 5 and 8, lower in treatment 1. As for the influence of different treatments on the chemical components of tobacco leaf, treatment 5,6,8 had higher K content, suitable sugar content and sugar/nicotine ratio. The treatment with 145 kg/hm2 N application and N:P:K=1:1:2.5, could increase tobacco production, improve quality and output of flue-cured tobacco.still in the late accumulation of N7,8,9, is not conducive to tobacco; of different treatments on the impact of higher tobacco output value, the higher the output value of processing 5,8, handling a relatively low value. Different treatment of tobacco K, sugar, nicotine content to a certain extent, integrated treatment compared to5,6,8 high potassium content, moderate sugar content, sugar nicotine coordination,2. The treatment with higher basal rate was benefit for tobacco growth in early stage, but the treatment with higher topdressing rate was benefit for tobacco growth in late stage and increase yield improve quality. The basal:topdressing ratio with 3:7 was suitable.3. In Hengyang tobacco growing area, the recommended dosage of fertilizing was:142.5 kg N/hm2, N:P:K=1:1:2.5~3, basal:topdressing ratio=3:7.
